Listen To The Mandolin Rain

As I read and cruise the Leftinistra blogs, the writers of sorrow and whiners, I can't help but recall this song: Mandolin Rain

The song came and went
Like the times that we spent
Hiding out from the rain under the carnival tent
I'd laugh and he'd smile
And it would last for a while
You don't know what you got 'til you lose it all again

Listen to the mandolin rain, listen to the music on the lake
Listen to my heart break, every time that he goes away
Listen to the banjo wind, a sad song drifting low
Listen to my tears roll, down my face as he turns to go

A cool evening dance
Listening to the bluegrass band takes the chill
From the air 'til they play the last song
And I'll do my time
Keeping you off my mind but there's moments
That I find, I'm not feeling so strong

Listen to the mandolin rain, listen to the music on the lake
Listen to my heart break, every time that he goes away
Listen to the banjo wind, a sad song drifting low
Listen to my tears roll, down my face as he turns to go

Running down by the lakeshore
He did love the sound of a summer storm
It played on the lake like a mandolin
Now it's washing him away once again
Once again, once again

Listen to the mandolin rain, listen to the music on the lake
Listen to my heart break, every time that he goes away
Listen to the banjo wind, a sad song drifting low
Listen to my tears roll, down my face as he turns to go

Listen to my tears roll, down my face as he turns to go

So sad to be a Leftinistra these days.

The Reality-Based Community(?-WTF?), ya, sure, is whining like a good widdle Leftinistra spoiled brat would do when IT doesn't get ITS own way. Others which are slipping into the Abyss of Obscurity feel as these poor doldrum laden pathetic slogs feel...DEFEATED.

But if that's the case, then once McConnell does this, we might get these public filibusters--and it will probably come on Webb or S-CHIP (if those GOP senators who voted for it now reverse themselves to protect the President). If we don't, then we have only two more options:

1. The Senate Democrats are brain-dead; or
2. They are so cynical that they would like the war to continue through 2008 to give the Democrats an issue.

Or maybe both. (read more)
Couldn't have happened to a better group of people.
