Freedom! Lakota Sioux Indians Declare Sovereign Nation Status

~Snooper~

This is all fun and games, correct? Yes? No? At any rate, France is diggin' it.

Lakota Freedom:
Washington D.C. - Lakota Sioux Indian representatives declared sovereign nation status today in Washington D.C. following Monday's withdrawal from all previously signed treaties with the United States Government. The withdrawal, hand delivered to Daniel Turner, Deputy Director of Public Liaison at the State Department, immediately and irrevocably ends all agreements between the Lakota Sioux Nation of Indians and the United States Government outlined in the 1851 and 1868 Treaties at Fort Laramie Wyoming.

"This is an historic day for our Lakota people," declared Russell Means, Itacan of Lakota. "United States colonial rule is at its end!" [...]

This will go over like a turd floating in the Baptistery, eh? If this continues on, we will lose parts of Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. Like Q and O said...
[...] My guess is the 5 state area would become a magnet for our resident illegal aliens and the tax free part is pretty appealing to me.

But, unfortunately, I don't do cold weather very well not to mention jail just isn't that appealing.

Like I said earlier, "let's watch and see" how far they try to take this. [...]
It will be interesting. Now that they have declared their secession from the union, I guess it will be OK for the militias to enter into the Lakota Nation and "finish". I wonder if they thought this all the way through yet.

Pretty interesting developments. I remember as a wee lad hearing rumblings of this from my Dad but it was the Mohawks. As a teenager, I heard the rumblings from other Indian Tribes as well. Perhaps this is a "rumbling" as well. We shall see.
