Just in case some of you wonder where I get quite a bit of my data in regards to Boots On The Ground, I get it from the blog at Vets For Freedom. I get data from other milblogs also but VFF has some interesting contributors.

The Leftinistra cannot boast of such purity in the stories at milblogs. Every time, in recent months, their "in the know" types have been discredited and exposed as the Fraud Veterans which they are.

Last week we heard Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid proclaim that General Patreaus was out of touch with the situation on the ground in Iraq (as a refresher, General Patreaus is the one who is trying to win a war against ruthless extremists; Harry Reid is the one who wants to pack up and go home because he can win a few Senate seats out of an American defeat). This week we get word of a Gallup poll that shows how much the American people actual approve of the Harry Reids and the General Patreauses of the world:

"The percentage of Americans that expressed they had a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in the U.S. Congress was only a mere 14%. This is the lowest percentage ever recorded by the Gallup organization and was the lowest confidence level given to any of the 16 institutions evaluated. Gallup analysts asserted that this was the lowest level recorded in the past 30 years....

...Almost 7 out of 10 Americans (69%) said that they had "quite a lot" or a "great deal" of confidence in the military."

Good work, Harry.

I don’t think Harry Reid’s Democrats will care to read Ralph Peters’ (a retired soldier) op-ed today about our recent and remarkable successes Iraq:

And let's not lose sight of our own national-security priority, which is defeating al Qaeda. Terror International is having a really bad time in Iraq these days: More and more Sunni Arabs are breaking with al Qaeda and its affiliates over their insufferable brutality. A Dope-Free, Pro-Troop High

The "Dope-Free" terminology in the title is in reference to drugs. There were plenty of dopes at the rallies and protest minions...especially the Code Pinko Skank Moonbats in the Fruit Loop Brigades. We also hear there was plenty of "dope" available for the homeless folks and druggies which were paid in booze and drugs to march in the parade. No matter. We know who has the momentum and who doesn't.

Melanie Morgan has a piece up describing the GOE III Rally and the Move America Forward Caravan and Fight For Victory Tour. They were smashing successes and the moonbats cringe.

What I find of particular interest is her obvious and keen eye in regards to The Why folks do NOT want AchmedI'mInA-Jihad to speak at Columbia University or to visit Ground zero. These are her bullets:

This week, both wanna-be presidential candidate New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and the administration of left-wing Columbia University announced that they were itching to play hostess to this generation's Hitler: Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. This should disqualify Bloomberg from any future political office. Ever.

These people wish to legitimize and provide a platform to a man:

• Who has denied that the Holocaust ever took place.
• Who has declared he wants to wipe Israel off the map.
• Who has funded and provided weapons for terrorist attacks against Americans.
• Who orchestrates attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq.
• Who oversaw development of extra-lethal IEDs that pierce the armor of U.S. military vehicles in Iraq.
• Who took 15 British sailors hostage and then turned them into puppets on international TV.
• Who is alleged to have been involved in the taking of U.S. hostages during the Tehran embassy hostage-taking.
• Who is currently developing nuclear weapons to be used to kill as many Westerners and "infidels" as possible.

It's not surprising that the same leftists who giggle and cheer at Michael Moore and Sally Field delivering leftist diatribes from the Academy Awards or television's Emmy Awards would want to glorify a murderous thug at the site of the worst terrorist attack in our nation's history.

Just as they glorified the Communists during the Cold War (including the Vietnam War, as evidenced by Hanoi Jane Fonda and Swift Boated John Kerry), the left now seeks to show greater compassion and sensitivity toward Iranian dictators than they do U.S. troops or their commanding generals (ask Gen. David Petraeus how he was treated by MoveOn.org and the militant left in this country).

But unlike during the Vietnam era, there is an active movement standing up to these punks. I want to call attention to the heroic efforts of Col. Harry Riley, Kathie Marino and the patriots at EaglesUp.us who not only helped drive the events of Sept. 15 but who also supported Move America Forward in the giant cross-country "Fight for Victory Tour" pro-troop caravan.

Poor moonbats. They are obviously trying to climb out of that Abyss of Obscurity we threw them in! LOL!!

Moonbats are saying that we have Freedom of Speech in this country and the pathetic and murderous leader of Iran has the right to speak. Last I knew, he wasn't a United States citizen so actually, he has no access to American Constitutional rights and none should be afforded him.

Personally, I think his visa to enter into this country should be permanently revoked. He is directly responsible for American Troop deaths but, alas, Code Pink loves the guy because they also support the murder of American Troops. Imagine that...birds of a feather and all that.

Columbia University students plan mass protests to greet Holocaust-denying Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he arrives on campus Monday to give a lecture.

Students planning the demonstration on the steps of Low Memorial Library papered the area with posters yesterday depicting public executions of gays in Iran.

"Any student who cares about freedom of sexuality and freedom of religion should stand up and protest against this murderous dictator," said Sharona Getz, 22, who was taping up signs in the student union.

While many plan to protest his terrorist-loving views, it was hard to find a student who thought he should be barred from campus.

"If we believe in freedom of speech, I think we should let him come," said Iranian law student Matin Hughes, 27.

This "Iranian law student" hasn't read our Constitution or is a part of the mutants that try to rewrite it on every and any opportunity.

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson said Thursday that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should not be allowed into the country, much less at the World Trade Center site, when he travels to New York next week to address the United Nations.

"I know there would be ramifications in the United Nations" if the U.S. refused to let Mr. Ahmadinejad into the country, Mr. Thompson said during a brief news conference at Dallas Love Field. "I would deny this character a visa. What's he going to do, visit there to get pointers for his own activities? I wouldn't let him in the country."

Mr. Thompson said the Iranian regime was a threat to Americans and should be dealt with accordingly.

But if that's the case, then once McConnell does this, we might get these public filibusters--and it will probably come on Webb or S-CHIP (if those GOP senators who voted for it now reverse themselves to protect the President). If we don't, then we have only two more options:

1. The Senate Democrats are brain-dead; or
2. They are so cynical that they would like the war to continue through 2008 to give the Democrats an issue.

A Tale of Two Leftist University’s

With the announcement of former Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, being appointed a visiting fellow with Stanford University’s Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace, a conservative public policy research center, alumni and faculty launched into protests and circulated petitions opposing the appointment on the grounds that “Rumsfeld clashed with the university's core values.”

Pamela Lee, an art history professor said, "He contradicts the fundamental standards of the university, which are order, morality, personal honor and most importantly, the rights of others. This person has played a critical role in a disastrously failed military policy. He has aggressively abused international law."

As is usual from our Socialistic left, exactly what “international Law” has been “aggressively abused” doesn’t get disclosed. Listening to anyone from the left discussing things as, “morality, personal honor and the rights of others” makes me choke.

What “morality” is there in supporting the slaughter of unborn babies?

What “personal honor” is there in slandering a General Officer prior to his giving a report mandated by the leftists in Congress?

What “rights of others” are there when the left uses every tool available to them to stifle opposing views to their leftist indoctrination, especially in our University’s?

It should be noted that Mr. Rumsfeld would neither be teaching students nor taking up residence at Stanford and might possibly meet with other conservatives 2 to 3 times a year.

Psychology professor, Philip Zimbardo chimed in with, “It is unacceptable to have someone who represents the values that Rumsfeld has portrayed, in an academic setting.”

Could Zimbardo be any clearer that conservative thought is unwelcome?

Ms. Lee adds, “It’s extremely important for the Hoover Institution to know that their appointments are not in the mainstream of the Stanford community, as well as to send a very clear signal to the country that this is not what Stanford is about.”

Is this another example of the “tolerance” the left preaches to us about often? Tolerance of them and their views, while banning and censoring conservative thought?

Is this what we send our children to institutions of higher learning for, to be indoctrinated with leftist ideals and stripped of any values we may have taught them?

If you don’t think our University’s are infested with Socialists elites who hate what America actually has stood for, we need only to look east to New York to see the outrage of Columbia’s Lisa Anderson, dean of international and public affairs, who independently invited Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Holocaust denier and head of a terrorist supporting state, for a question-and-answer session with Columbia’s faculty and students in their World Leaders Forum.

Last year Columbia had also invited Ahmadinejad to Columbia, but plans were dropped due to “security and logistics” concerns.

I fail to see the logic coming from our University’s when an American citizen of Mr. Rumsfeld’s stature is vilified and protested yet a tyrant like Iran’s Ahmadinejad would be embraced.

Lest you think I am being hypocritical and advocating a double standard, let me remind you that Donald Rumsfeld was the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America. He over saw the successful overthrow of the despotic regime of Saddam Hussein and performed his job under intense fire from the Democrat party right up to his resignation. He would not be teaching or addressing students, but discussing matters with a campus based ‘think tank.’

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on the other hand, would be addressing students and has been known for some of the most outrageous speeches denying the well-documented Holocaust of World War Two and calling for the total destruction of the nation of Israel. Former hostages have identified him as taking part in the 1979 Iranian Hostage Crisis where several of our Embassy staff were held hostage in Iran for over a year.

Our Troops in Iraq have identified several weapons seized there and that were being used to kill our Troops on the ground as having come from the Country of Iran. His regime also thumbs their nose at the world as they rush headlong into the acquisition of nuclear weapons.

While being in our country, primarily to address the United Nations, he requested to visit ‘ground zero,’ the spot in New York where the World Trade Center Towers once stood, before being destroyed by radical Muslim terrorists, murdering nearly 3,000 of our citizens.

Why would a terrorist leader of a terrorist supporting nation desire to visit the site of their most successful attack? He may say it is to pay homage to those murdered individuals, but to use it as a photo op to gloat to fellow terrorists seems more likely, to me.

His visit to Columbia University would be like Columbia inviting Adolf Hitler to address Columbia’s students and faculty in 1944, at the height of World War Two.

After massive public outcry, Columbia’s President just today rescinded the invitation to have Ahmadinejad address students and faculty as a part of the university-wide leader's forum, but left open the invitation to speak at the school of international and public affairs.

In defense of Lisa Anderson, Columbia’s president Lee Bollinger said, “she has the right and responsibility to invite speakers whom she believes will add to the academic experience of our students."

Although two different University’s on separate coasts, I fail to see just how a terrorist supporter could be considered as “adding to the academic experience of our students," while a former U.S. Secretary of Defense, who wouldn’t even be addressing students or faculty, is said to “clash with the university's core values.”

It is little wonder why our children graduate these institutions with such a dismal view of the world and world conditions.

Signs of a Possible Rift in the Iranian Leadership on the Nuclear Issue

Seeing that there has been evidence of unhappy citizens within the borders of Iran, The Land of The Aryan, as of lately, now there are reports that some folks within the Nuclear Community within the borders of Iran are expressing the logistics of being recipients of the hardware which can be delivered to Iran, via special delivery, by the 7th Fleet.

I wonder why the Leftinistra pay no attention to MEMRI.

As part of Iran's diplomatic efforts to prevent increased sanctions against it in the U.N. Security Council session slated for September 21, 2007, former Iranian Supreme National Security Council secretary Hassan Rohani is planning a trip to meet with European officials, according to reports in the Iranian media.

Rohani was in charge of Iran's nuclear dossier during the era of the previous Iranian president, reformist Mohammad Khatami, and was the chief negotiator with the West; currently, he is the representative of Iranian Supreme Leader 'Ali Khamenei in the council.

According to the reports, on September 19, 2007 Rohani is to meet with senior German government officials, and to speak to the E.U. Parliament; he is scheduled to meet the following day with E.U. foreign policy chief Javier Solana.(1)

This is not the first time that Supreme Leader 'Ali Khamenei has circumvented Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and presented more pragmatic stances in an attempt to solve crises which have escalated due to Ahmadinejad's extremist policies. During the 2006-7 Lebanese crisis, Khamenei maintained a direct channel of communication with Saudi King Abdullah via Khamenei's confidant, Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, who was Ahmadinejad's competitor in the 2005 Iranian presidential election.

Using The Lives Of Our Troops For Amnesty?

Now here is a real loser.

The pro-amnesty amendment has been tied to the defense department authorization bill by Dick Durbin (D-Illinois). Ira Mehlman, of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, says it is basically a re-introduction of the "Dream Act."

"Really what it is, is an amnesty for anybody who came to the United States under the age of sixteen, [and] has attended school in the United States," says Melham. The Reed-Levin Amendment goes down in flames thanks to the efforts of many Americans joining with the Grassroots organization such as Families united and Vets For Freedom.

We specifically addressed these upcoming amendments and so far, we are 3 for 3 in defeating the defeatist rhetoric of the Losers of the Leftinistra.

The Leftinistra and those which "own" them in CONgress will soon grow accustomed to being defeated time and time again. Actually, one would think that since they are so vested in defeat, their being defeated can actually be considered a victory...for them.

Vets For Freedom Delivered a One-Two-Three Punch...UPDATED

It has come to my attention that Vets For Peace is "Rather" upset over the success we had on this trip.

Too bad and so sad for them. Perhaps if they weren't such losers, frauds and morons, people would take them more seriously.

Vets deliver message to Capitol Hill

On Tuesday, over 250 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans - along with Blue and Gold star families - took their message to Capitol Hill. Veterans from 42 states met with over 60 Senators, and over 100 Representatives. The message was simple: support General Petraeus and America’s mission in Iraq.

The trip was a great success. Our voices were heard - and it appears that, barring any unforeseen developments, Congress will continue to support General Petraeus’s counter-insurgency strategy - for now. This was the goal of the "10 Weeks to Testimony" campaign - and together, we accomplished our goal. But as always, the battle continues.

Vets for Freedom will continue to lead the charge in support of our brave men and women in uniform. And we will continue to ensure that the voice of the vast majority of veterans - those who understand how important it is to succeed in Iraq - are heard.

Our calls, in concert with our "Vets on the Hill" event, were instrumental in ensuring that this "backdoor" withdrawal amendment was unsuccessful. • State Chapters. We were fortunate to have over 30 State Captains attend our "Vets on the Hill" event, and together we had an opportunity to discuss future plans in a private dinner on Monday night. Evidently they want to keep Iman & Salat and chuck out everything else. I doubt that its possible, but: if they can bring it off, the effects would be life saving. Imagine Islam totally pacified, without violence!

Any Muslim group that has ties to terrorism in any way, shape, or form, must be universally condemned by both religious and secular Muslims.

Are they sincere? I believe they are. The group’s President endorsed the No2Jihad petition. That involves forswearing terrorism against Israel, the ultimate test for a Muslim.

Nut Sues Net
A disgruntled former employee has filed a lawsuit against CBS News, alleging a bizarre conspiracy involving the White House. National Review's Byron York reports that the employee, Daniel Irvin Rather Jr., is demanding $70 million in damages, enough to buy Belgium four times over. Rather played a role in a discredited "60 Minutes" story raising questions about President Bush's Vietnam-era military service:

In the suit, Rather alleges that he was forced to apologize for the Bush story as part of a conspiracy by top CBS management to ensure that no further damaging revelations about the president's time in the Texas Air National Guard would become public. Rather also alleges that CBS hired a private investigator to re-report the original story -- after Rather threatened to hire his own private eye to do the same thing -- and that the investigator found the story to be accurate, only to have his findings suppressed by CBS as part of an effort to curry favor with the Bush White House. Finally, Rather alleges that CBS fired him over the story the day after Bush was reelected, despite his later claims that his departure was separate from the Bush story. . . .

Rather says the cover-up was part of CBS's "plan to pacify the White House" and to "appease angry government officials" by offering up Rather as the "scapegoat for CBS management's bungling of the entire episode."

One can only sigh, shake one's head, and hope for Rather's sake that he has a better lawyer than this guy.

In the video, statements by Al-Zawahiri are interspersed with footage of jihad fighters in various places around the world, audio clips from Osama bin Laden's speeches, statements by Western commentators and U.S. officials, and more.
