Living with British troops of 2 Para at FOB Gibraltar and watching them fight, I witnessed one of the great paradoxes of Afghanistan. The troops are fighting hard and killing the enemy. They are professional and extremely competent. Their morale is high. They are doing a great job. And we are losing the war.

Their troubles with a local sniper demonstrate some of the complexities and frustrations of this war, which the British public don’t even call a “war.” The British soldiers know this is a real war, but the British at home characterize it as a “conflict.” Meanwhile, Americans at home seem to mostly have forgotten about Afghanistan, though luckily they are starting to wake up. Yet it’s obvious here on the ground that this situation could deteriorate into something far worse than we ever saw in Iraq. [...]

Much to the chagrin of idiot anti-Americanists abroad and here at home, the leader of Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai, says that he finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel. It seems like he is winning the war against terrorism. We wouldn't know that listening to Czarbie, Biden and the rest of the treasonous fools, would we?

The Campaign Spot exposes Czarbie's "plan" to deal with Iran. Czarbie needs professional mental therapy.

CNN reported back a few days ago about the USN firing on Somalian Pirates, aka terrorists. Bringing folks up to date on this, Yahoo! News states that a USN Tanker is under attack by pirates off the coast of Somalia. I wonder if these are called acts of war or criminal activity on the high seas. Then we learn that the USN has driven them off. And then we hear that US and "European"(?) warships have them surrounded. And I guess because we have surrounded them, we have visual contact.

Pat Dollard Blog tells us how talks with terrorists should be conducted. I am sure he forwarded that data on to Czarbie for yet another schooling that he evidently did not receive as a special needs type of guy.

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Pakistan, the US Wimplomat Dept has banned Americans from going to Pakistan and staying in hotels and places that serve food. Yeah. That sounds Constitutional, doesn't it? Screw the Wimplomat Corps. I guess it is safer to sleep on the streets and go pick your own food on the farms over there...more protection I guess.

You will more than likely detect an interesting happenstance: The Man-Boy from Iran wants Achmed Barack Allah Hussein Obama Czarbie as president. Go figure. While the press and politicians were inventing the Wall Street emergency that Democrats created and as they whined that the Iraqi political "progress" was a failure, they passed the 17th out of 18 Benchmarks...Provincial Elections. They did more in less than two years than ours has done in 8. Who are the failures now?

Humbled Infidel reminds us of an older story yet still plausible...terrorists lust to use School Buses as weapons. Stay vigilant people. GSG brings us the possibility with a war with Pakistan. This is possible seeing that apparently, they have sided with the terrorists that we are fighting. If that happens, it will be sad to be a Pakistani Soldier. And Israel wanted the US to bomb Iran for them and fortunately, we turned that offer down.

With all of the sarcasm I can muster, I bring you the tale that the Sadrists are not pleased with Iraqi Security. They lost their gamble. They remind me of American Democrats. Shut up.

While Condi Rice (puke) "urges" the UN to take action against Iran for threatening Israel, I sit back at laugh at that prospect. They hate Israel just as Iran does. She needs random drug screening. Doesn't she know that Iran is in Iraq fighting our Troops? Hell we arrested FIVE of them in the Big B for crying out loud and Iraqi and American Forces have stepped up action against Iranian Troops inside Iraq. Maybe that is what has the Democrat counterparts in Iraq (the Sadrists) so upset.

While most everyone with the ability to think straight sees Iraq no longer being the menace it once was, the Democrats seem to think this was a failure. Hell. We ran them out of Iraq and they are now in England.

And, seeing that Czarbie supporters, like Code Skank and crew, visited with the Little Man-Boy from Iran, back in Iran, they had a "destroy Israel and America" parade.

LGF brings us the story of terrorists dying after hijacking a ship belonging to Iran. I reported on this last week...I will have to find that and link it here. Jihad Watch reports here as well.

Pakistan has declared that if OBL and his sidekick are captured in Pakistan, they will not deliver them to the US...they will place them on trial there in Pakistan. Good luck with that. I suppose folks are getting ready for the scheduled winter battles in Afghanistan and making sure that all the players know what the rules are.

And last but not least, Chavez prepares to receive nuclear "stuff" from the USSR Reborn. Sounds like someone needs to brush up on that Monroe Doctrine. I suppose that all they are interested in really is nuclear power but no weapons, just like Iran, eh?

Seven Long and Safe Years

Whatever it is that has a burr under the saddle of The One, Uber Messiah Barack sure is barking up the left - wrong - tree. Those 8 years of the failed Bush foreign policies sure have kept us safe from terrorist attacks right back here at home. And thank God for it. I would hate to think about what would have happened if President Bush did lose his battles with the likes of Obama and the rest of the anti-Americanist crowds so rampantly pathetic in their zeal to lose this war.

And those failed Iraqi politicians sure have done more since The Troop Surge than our own failed and internationally embarrassed CONgress has gotten done under the DNC controlled House and Senate. And speaking of the Iraqi Benchmarks written by a defective CONgress, DNC led, designed to fail to justify their anti-Americanist slant, The Troops went ahead and made room in time long enough for the Iraqi Government to go ahead and get 15 and quite possibly 16 of the 18 Benchmarks accomplished. One will never come to pass and others are either done or close.

Some failed policy the Troop Surge. It has success written all over it thanks to the leadership of President Bush - the guy the Leftinistra consider to be the worse President in known history and the dumbest guy on the planet.

H.R. 2206, the U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007, stipulates that the US strategy in Iraq will be determined by the Iraqi Government's ability to meet specified benchmarks (Title I(Chapter 3(Sec 1314 (b)))), among other things...check the link to see what else makes the Iraqi Government "successful". I had no idea that American minimum wage was a factor. In Section 1314, we find the Benchmarks listed thusly: (NOTE: completed with be in BLUE, no chance of happening in RED and in process in GREEN.)

(i) Forming a Constitutional Review Committee and then completing the constitutional review.

(ii) Enacting and implementing legislation on de-Baathification.

(iii) Enacting and implementing legislation to ensure the equitable distribution of hydrocarbon resources of the people of Iraq without regard to the sect or ethnicity of recipients, and enacting and implementing legislation to ensure that the energy resources of Iraq benefit Sunni Arabs, Shia Arabs, Kurds, and other Iraqi citizens in an equitable manner.

(iv) Enacting and implementing legislation on procedures to form semi-autonomous regions.

(v) Enacting and implementing legislation establishing an Independent High Electoral Commission, provincial elections law, provincial council authorities, and a date for provincial elections.

(vi) Enacting and implementing legislation addressing amnesty.

(vii) Enacting and implementing legislation establishing a strong militia disarmament program to ensure that such security forces are accountable only to the central government and loyal to the Constitution of Iraq.

(viii) Establishing supporting political, media, economic, and services committees in support of the Baghdad Security Plan.

(ix) Providing three trained and ready Iraqi brigades to support Baghdad operations.

(x) Providing Iraqi commanders with all authorities to execute this plan and to make tactical and operational decisions, in consultation with U.S commanders, without political intervention, to include the authority to pursue all extremists, including Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias.

(xi) Ensuring that the Iraqi Security Forces are providing even handed enforcement of the law.

(xii) Ensuring that, according to President Bush, Prime Minister Maliki said `the Baghdad security plan will not provide a safe haven for any outlaws, regardless of [their] sectarian or political affiliation'.

(xiii) Reducing the level of sectarian violence in Iraq and eliminating militia control of local security.

(xiv) Establishing all of the planned joint security stations in neighborhoods across Baghdad.

(xv) Increasing the number of Iraqi security forces units capable of operating independently.

(xvi) Ensuring that the rights of minority political parties in the Iraqi legislature are protected.

(xvii) Allocating and spending $10 billion in Iraqi revenues for reconstruction projects, including delivery of essential services, on an equitable basis.

(xviii) Ensuring that Iraq's political authorities are not undermining or making false accusations against members of the Iraqi Security Forces.

There are several of these Benchmarks that even the American People would laugh at and I sometimes wonder what is in the water in DC. Let us take a look at the items in blue that were accomplished in spite of their design to fail. Don't tell The Troops they were supposed to fail.

(xvi) this one must have made some folks laugh when they wrote it and more than likely, the Iraqis were questioning the mental stability of American CONgress Critters. The Troop Surge was to make it possible that the rights of the minority political parties in the Iraqi Legislature were protected. Simply amazing and darn near impossible but, our Troops got it done. This one was sure to be impossible and that is why it was written.

(xviii) this one made me almost soil myself with laughter when I first read this many moons ago. It was written intentionally to fail...Ensuring that Iraq's political authorities are not undermining or making false accusations against members of the Iraqi Security Forces. Not even our own CONgress can comply with this. Just ask Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Jack Murtha, Barack Obama and many others. Remember Haditha? Remember "the war is lost"? Please. However, our Troops made it possible for this to take place and now perhaps you will understand why our Troops are so disappointed with our politicians and fellow citizens. Yet, they continued on and succeeded.

(iv) this one will never come to pass because the Iraqi people and the Iraqi government had stated so. This one was written for the American politicians that wanted to split Iraq up into three autonomous regions with Baghdad the central government. This would be similar to chopping the USA up into sections and the central government located in Billings, Montana or something similar. The American People would reject that and so did the Iraqi people. End of that discussion.

(xii) this one is laughable seeing that in the USA we have sanctuary cities yet, the Troops made it possible for this to take place.

The others are still in process with two nearing completion and one in trouble for pretty close to the same reason stated for (iv).

With all of the rhetoric flowing from gaping mouths in DC, I find it absolutely exciting that the Iraqi government has done more in two years than the American DNC led CONgress has been able to do. In 2007 alone, the DNC led CONgress has tried to lose the War In Iraq 41 times. 41! And what the DNCers consider to be the singularly most inane man in the known universe beat them at every step and every corner. If I was a member of the 9% CONgress, I would be bowing my head in shame and slink off into a corner. After a while, I would come out and beg the American People for forgiveness for being so wrong. Then again...

In the end, the score card for President Bush in regards to Victory in Iraq is Bush-41, DNC-0.

With Barack Obama having played his hand way too early and picking a DC insider such as Biden, thus negating the "Change" meme, the McCain-Palin Ticket is rocketing passed the DNC Ticket and thank God for that as well.

Note to Barack: Americans are sick and tired of hearing how "suck" the USA is and if you don't like the way America is, why not relocate to where you would feel more at home in a socialist environment you so yearn for...we don't want that here. Scare Tactics From The Right? Not Hardly

The picture to the left, in the New York Magazines' disclaimer, says the following: "On the cover of the July 21, 2008, issue of the The New Yorker, in 'The Politics of Fear,' artist Barry Blitt satirizes the use of scare tactics and misinformation in the Presidential election to derail Barack Obama's campaign." Scare tactics? Scare tactics? Please. The myth of Global Warming comes from the left and with the unsurmountable evidence before the Myth Bearers, they still kick and scream that global warming is true and that the earth is being killed off by mankind and we are all doomed. That is not a scare tactic?

Another scare tactic utilized from the left is that both President Bush and VP Cheney are guilty of war crimes. Without presenting any evidence to support such a serious allegation, they have them both charged, arrested, tried, convicted and executed without the constitutional realization of due process of law. Yet, this scare tactic goes uncorrected. Why? Because it is a retarded allegation. That's why. However, not addressing the trumped up rhetoric merely emboldens the brain-dead and sycophantic trolls of one George Soros.

Another scare tactic utilized from the Leftinistra is the "impeachment card". Notice, if you will, that every time that card is played, there is something that is revealing what the Leftinistra are all about. They need distractions from the Real Deal Issues so they invent issues meant to scare or bully their opposition. In this most recent mention of impeachment proceedings or hearings, the issue is whether or not Nancy Pelosi rendered aid and comfort - once again - to known sponsors of terrorism and terrorists. How odd. Also, another issue before her is her lie to climb and crawl into power manning her current position as SOH. Her promises to lower the ever escalating fuel costs has not come to pass so she has to "scare" the nation with impeachment of President Bush for no infractions to be impeached for.

Simply amazing.

Another scare tactic utilized by the Leftinistra is the subject of US Attorneys. President Bush fired some. So what? It is his Executive Authority to do so just as all other Presidents before him have utilized. This topic is merely another in a long chain of distraction techniques from the Leftinistra. They are non-issues but are designed to be used to scare or bully others into their lairs of deceit, stupidity and unAmerican activities.

And, don't forget the scare tactic of "class warfare". This one is sure to prove to be a grand scare tactic. Those that are students of political history will recognize this tactic for what it is but I will leave it up to the reader to determine what that might be.

Naziism. Here is another scare tactic. There are some among the Leftinistra that claim that America is Nazi Germany reincarnated. Naturally, there is no evidence to support such an ignorant notion but that won't stop the Leftinistra from scaring the crap out of the impressionable young ones amongst us and, to a degree, the elderly.

Chanting that the military members are nothing but rapists and baby-killers that run too and fro seeing whom they can devour is a more popular scare tactic from the Leftinistra. There isn't any proof of this but why let that stop them? Who needs proof? Who needs due process of law? Certainly not the Leftinistra.

America's responsibility for world poverty is another scare tactic. It is all America's fault. Imagine that?

I find it amazing that the alleged members of CONgress, as educated as they are, will set aside that which they know to be true just to gain political power.

The above are but a scant few examples. I am sure the reader will be able to name more if they put their heads to it.

Scare tactics from the Right? Not hardly. Scare tactics from the left? Standard Operating Procedure.

OK. This is what we have been expecting for quite some time. As the Defeatocrats ignore the successes of the Troop Surge and Victory in Iraq is imminent, the Leftinistra have been consorting and their Spin Machines have come up with a plan...pretend they were for the Troop Surge and take all credit for the Victory in Iraq. I have written about this on my "old blog" Take Our Country Back and I will dig up those posts and place them here fairly soon.

It Has Begun...Hillary Takes Credit For Surge She Opposed!!

Imagine that. To set the damn record straight, please recall that the Defeatocrats INCLUDING Czarina the Budding Leninist opposed the Bush Troop Surge from the beginning. Hillary's "sudden" turn around and accepting the credit for the successes of the Bush Troop Surge requires the willful suspension of disbelief, as she herself said about General Petraeus' testimony before the CONgress way back in September of 2007. Remember that one? This is unbelievable but it has been expected.

MR. RUSSERT: If General Petraeus says, "Senator, in September you called the surge the suspension of belief. It has worked, and you know it's worked"--let me finish--"you can see on the ground. I'm saying to you, Senator, or president-elect Clinton, don't destroy Iraq. It's working, the surge is working. Keep troops there just a few more months to get this reconciliation complete."

SEN. CLINTON: ...The point of the surge was to quickly move the Iraqi government and Iraqi people. Yet today, this troubled and dishonest politician is bashing antiwar Barak Obama for his stand against the war we are now winning.

Hillary also attacked Barak Obama for raising the race issue!

Unsung Heroes: Doing What Most Won't

There are three key operations in the ITO, three of many, but these most recent, which have brought about the beginning of the end of Al Qaeda in Iraq. Don't get me wrong here...the war is far from "over" but Victory is at hand.

As our own jackals in DC whine, piss and moan about how the Iraqi Political "benchmarks" go undone; as their own benchmarks and earmarks drain the citizenry dry; we find that unbeknownst to them and, rightfully so...God forbid the NYT finds out about it...the Iraqis have been working feverishly behind the scenes, more than likely under the tutelage of those "nasty and mean military people", to undermine the terrorist groups inside Iraq and they have succeeded. (Don't forget to send cards of condolences to the anti-Americanist groups within CONUS up to and including half of our CONgress.)

Iraq: We've Penetrated AQI -- But Apparently Not The American Media

Reid: STOP THE WORLD! I WANNA GET OFF! I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!! Well, no. He hasn't said that openly but I bet he sure does think it and maybe even whines to his wife...if she can still stand him...and most assuredly to his partner in defeat Nanny Pelosi.

At the same time that the Iraqi National Assembly passed its long-awaited de-Ba'athification reform, the security services have apparently cracked al-Qaeda's organization in the country. Muslim World News, a Muslim news agency in India, reports that the Iraqi Interior Ministry formed a unit recently dedicated to attacking AQI and will shortly take out the entire structure (via AJ Strata):

OH MY!! It was a good thing that the NY Slimes and the Washington Compost didn't know about this ahead of time, eh? They would have tipped off their buddies in AQ!! Instead, Iraqis did the work themselves showing the dumb American idiots in CONgress that can't even do their own damn jobs how to succeed. Well done!

Now we know The Why and the How Did They Know in regards to the recent air strikes. I wonder if that idiot over at StupidMuttDrip feels like the idiot we all know it to be now?

I have often wondered when an AQ Tet Offensive was to come seeing that was their only chance since the Surge has routed them out from just about everywhere. Apparently, their regrouping into these areas may have been the beginnings of that and the Iraqi penetration stemmed that tide and nipped it in the bud. We shall see.

If ops like this keep happening day after day, I think Wizbang may be correct: Iraq may be moot point in campaign after Bush deal... read the story here as well...

Sorry, Barack, You've lost Iraq.
