This Blog Is Moving

Greetings. After this weekend, this Take Our Country Back Blog will be moving to the new web site. Too many conservatives are getting zapped by the intolerant dweebs of the Obama Goons and seeing that this editing platform is a free site, Blogger can do pretty much what it feels like doing. Hence, I now have a paid site and will be migrating the last 1400+ posts shortly.

So, one day, you just may click this page somewhere and it will show up as "private". It has been fun but the intolerant Czarbie Goon Squads are brain dead idiots. They can come play at the new site which I OWN outright.

Ann Coulter Nails The Liberals - AGAIN!

~Snooper~

"Liberals indignantly reject the label "domestic terrorists" for former Weathermen, preferring to call them "future Cabinet members."

What Did Biden Say, Again?

~Snooper~

This is unbelievable. This must be reason #26.9 trillion why NOT to vote for the Obama-Biden ticket.

Ummmm...what? Is he kidding? Did he just say that because of Barack's 100%+ inexperience that the United States is going to be "tested"? Did I hear that correctly?
"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy." [...]
Holy cow! That makes me want to go out and see if I can recall my votes I cast this morning already!
[...] I don't think anyone has ever accused Joe Biden of being "fasely humble", but at least he has a high enough IQ to realize he ought to shut up after he saw a reporter in the back of the room: "I probably shouldn't have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here."

Then again, I probably shouldn't give Biden such a hard time. Perhaps he just helped sound the alarm for voters to take another look at Obama and let pre-election buyers' remorse set in. Is Obama really the one we want facing down these threats? [END]
WHAT? He forgot that the press was there? Judas H Priest people.

Quote Of The Moment

~Snooper~

So, I was reading a herd of stuff and ran across this gem at RWN:

"Taking in my opponent's performances is a little like watching a big summer blockbuster, and an hour in, realizing that all the best scenes were in the trailer you saw last fall." -- John McCain

Sound Bites From Last Night in NH

~Snooper~

The following has been "borrowed" from The Astute Bloggers.
The Republicans:

Giuliani
The biggest issue is Islamofascism, and I can best deal with it.

Huckabee
I never said any of the things I said.

McCain
The amnesty for illegals I was for was not amnesty.

Paul
We should dig a deep hole, pull back all Americans from everywhere, and all jump in.

Romney
I'm the only one who turned around businesses, the Olympics, and the state of Massachusetts.

Thompson
I'm the only true conservative here, and I will apply those principles as president.

The Democrats:

Clinton
I spent 35 years pulling Bill's chestnuts out of the fire, so I'm best qualified.

Edwards
I will destroy the American drug industry even though it has given us all these miracle drugs.

Obama
I don't get specific about anything, but, although I opposed Iraq, I will invade Pakistan.

Richardson
It's not my fault.

Breath in deeply and let out a long sigh.

Declaration of Independence

“In its main features the Declaration of Independence is a spiritual document. It is a declaration not of material but spiritual conceptions. Equality, liberty, popular sovereignty, the rights of man—these are not elements which we can see and touch. They are ideals. They have their source and their roots in religious convictions. They belong to the unseen world. Unless the faith of the American people in these religious convictions is to endure, the principles of our Declaration will perish. We cannot continue to enjoy the result if we neglect and abandon the cause. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just power from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth and their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction cannot lay claim to progress.” —Calvin Coolidge

From The Patriot Post

THE FOUNDATION: WAR FOR INDEPENDENCE

The Liberty Bell

“Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measure in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us. We are in the very midst of a revolution the most complete, unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of nations.” —John Adams

THE GIPPER

“Somewhere in our growing up we began to be aware of the meaning of days and with that awareness came the birth of patriotism. July Fourth is the birthday of our nation. I believed as a boy, and believe even more today, that it is the birthday of the greatest nation on earth… In recent years, however, I’ve come to think of that day as more than just the birthday of a nation. It also commemorates the only true philosophical revolution in all history. Oh, there have been revolutions before and since ours. But those revolutions simply exchanged one set of rules for another. Ours was a revolution that changed the very concept of government. Let the Fourth of July always be a reminder that here in this land, for the first time, it was decided that man is born with certain God-given rights; that government is only a convenience created and managed by the people, with no powers of its own except those voluntarily granted to it by the people. We sometimes forget that great truth, and we never should. Happy Fourth of July.” —Ronald Reagan

  1. Thank you President Reagan for those words of wisdom that some forget.

On Churchill

Always Carry A Large Whacker

“If you have an important point to make, don’t try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time, a tremendous whack.” - Winston Churchill

R v L

Right v Left

“A wise man’s heart directs him towards the right, but the foolish man’s heart directs him towards the left.” - King Solomon

Someone asked me at the Townhall blog if there was a reference for this and rightfully so. No urban legends here. There are many various translations but here is the link. The quote is from the Bible in the Book of Ecclesiastes.
