This Blog Is Moving

Greetings. After this weekend, this Take Our Country Back Blog will be moving to the new web site. Too many conservatives are getting zapped by the intolerant dweebs of the Obama Goons and seeing that this editing platform is a free site, Blogger can do pretty much what it feels like doing. Hence, I now have a paid site and will be migrating the last 1400+ posts shortly.

So, one day, you just may click this page somewhere and it will show up as "private". It has been fun but the intolerant Czarbie Goon Squads are brain dead idiots. They can come play at the new site which I OWN outright.

CIA and Dick Cheney Assassinations

by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Democrats in Congress are outraged that the Pentagon and CIA were developing a plan to "assassinate" al Qaeda in Iraq. The assassination teams would be CIA personnel, and not U.S. Military. Especially heinous to Congress is that the Pentagon did not brief appropriate Congressional members about the incomplete and unimplemented plan.

CIA

Americans are no longer shocked to hear that we have not always targeted all al Qaeda members, including leaders...especially leaders...since the war began after 9-11. We are no longer shocked at much we hear, because doing what makes no sense is exactly what Congress always does. Nevertheless, while not shocked, we are surprised, and along with our surprise comes puzzlement. Why would we need a secret program, even assuming Congress is briefed, to kill top al-Qaeda members?

Targeted killing of terrorists is prohibited by presidential orders banning assassinations that date back to the Ford administration. But the president can waive that order, said Vicki Divoll, a former CIA counsel, because there is no specific federal law that bans the practice.

There's also no legal difference, she said, between killing al Qaeda targets with a hit team or with an unmanned drone, because the "intent to kill a targeted person" defines an assassination.

The "air strikes" are what made this never-implemented plan different. According to officials, it was okay to target and kill al Qadea with air strikes, but not okay to target and kill al Qaeda "at close range," - what might include hand-to-hand combat. Killing "at close range" might risk "civilian casualties." For now, the CIA will have to be satisfied with Predator Drones - except that Congress can't keep it's mouth shut about them either. While Pakistan recently complained about Predator drones taking off and landing inside their borders, officials assured Pakistan that only surveillance drones are used inside the country, not the Predator which is capable of launching missiles.
Privately, though, Pakistani officials doubt that claim, especially after the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Diane Feinstein, (D-CA), suggested 10 days ago that the CIA Predator drones do indeed use Pakistani airfields and not necessarily Afghan airfields, as most assume.
According to an anonymous source at the CIA, Dick Cheney directed the agency not to inform Congress of the specifics of the secret program.
Panetta told the committees there was no indication that there was anything illegal or inappropriate about the effort itself, the official said.

CIA directors since 2001 agreed with Cheney's decision not to inform Congress because the highly classified operation, described as "sporadic" and "embryonic," never managed to turn up the intelligence needed to carry out a kill and was not considered a covert operation, according to a former intelligence official. That official also was not authorized to discuss the program and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Congress has a right to know everything the CIA does, but the president can by law limit those told about covert operations to just the top four members of the House and Senate from the two parties and the senior members of the intelligence committees. Democrats on the House intelligence committee are pushing for a legal provision that would require the president to brief both committees in their entirety more often, but the White House has threatened to veto the move.
DefenseTech.org reminds us of Sandi Berger letting Osama bin Laden escape in Afghanistan, rather than chance civilian casualties: Doesn't this sort of smack of Sandi Berger-esque national security policy?
We know from the 9-11 commission report that Berger got cold feet when he had bin Laden in his sights for a proxy raid in Afghanistan because he was afraid of collateral damage and blowback. Now some of the same national security policy minds are back in the driver's seat so we can cancel a program to kill bad guys using CIA assets.
Here is the directive for how and when the CIA program would have been implemented:

Had it become fully developed, the CIA's aborted plan would have been a covert-action program. At the outset, the potential operation wouldn't have been limited to particular countries. The use of hit teams was in accordance with the authority granted by the 2001 order, said a former national-security official familiar with it.

In the most recent iteration of the project, top CIA leaders instructed officers involved to narrow its focus and report the plans to Congress if they reached a critical point where moving forward would involve activities that, if discovered, could embarrass the U.S., according to a former senior intelligence official.

Among all the punditry on this subject, we've heard little to nothing about the distinction between targeting for air strikes or targeting for "close contact," but surprisingly to me, there is a U.S policy prohibiting the "assassination" of anyone, not just heads of State!

However, that is not the end of the story. The rest of the story involves the Joint special Operations Command (JSOC). The JSOC is a somewhat secret branch of the U.S. Special Operations Command. The Special Operations Command is made-up of "special mission units." Among these units are the Delta Force and Seal Team Six. During the Iraq War other elite groups were known as "Grey Fox," "Capacity Gear" and "Titrant Ranger."

Pulitzer Prize winning investigating "journalist," Sy Hersh has charged that during the Bush-Cheney years the JSOC reported directly to Dick Cheney and no one else. He termed it an "executive assassination ring." The New York Times columnist didn't make the accusations in the NYT, but from podiums on college campuses, at the ACLU and public radio. New York Magazine writer Chris Suellentrop calls Hersh "the runaway mouth of America's premier investigative journalist."Bill Roggio writing for the Weekly Standard Blog says the Hersh claims that the JSOC reports to no one, or only to Cheney during the Bush-Cheney years, is false; they report to the Secretary of Defense and also falls under congressional oversight.

From Marc Ambinder:

JSOC units are very active in Iraq and Afghanistan; in those countries, since the U.S. is formally at war, their conduct can't really be analogized to an extra-legal hit squad....What's objectionable, in theory, is that the President can designate anyone as a terrorist and task JSOC with finding and executing them -- even if the person is not living in the war theatre and has never been charged with a crime. In practice, that's what presidents from Richard Nixon to Ronald Reagan to Bill Clinton have believed (the following from a 2001 report).
Senior intelligence officials confirm that a secret finding recently signed by President Bush, building on an earlier one by President Clinton, grant the CIA legal authority to conduct assassination operations against individuals designated as terrorists. As a result, the CIA is devising strategy and policy to that end, and is developing assets for assassinations within both the CIA and "uniformed military units," as well as foreign agents in Middle Eastern countries.
The outrage is likely a convenient smoke screen designed to take the focus off of Speaker Nancy Pelosi's accusation that the CIA "lies all the time." Target Dick Cheney's so-called assassination plots and the Dems might think they have a winner. Complain that the CIA targets al Qaeda and the Dems might think they have a winner...but maybe not. Just maybe we expect Congress to support every tactic possible to win these wars

Missing GI in Afghanistan: Afghan Villages Warned

by Maggie at Maggie’s Notebook

An unnamed U.S. soldier is missing in Afghanistan and is known to be the victim of kidnapping. The U.S. Military wants the missing soldier back and has sent a sobering message to the residents in at least two villages in suspect areas. The leaflets contained a message and a warning to return our missing soldier.

Afghan Villages Warned

The graphic above shows the front side a leaflet produced at the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan with this message on one side:

The papers show on one side an image of a soldier with his head bowed so that his face is not visible (above). A message in the local Pashtun language over the image says, “If you do not free the American soldier, then…”

Afghan Villages Warned (photo backside)

The second graphic above is the backside of the first and says:

…you will be targeted”.

The military says the leaflet says “…you will be hunted,” but some translators say the word also means “targeted.”

Sources are inconclusive about how the leaflets got to the villagers: some reports say they were dropped from aircraft with the warnings seen in trees and on rooftops. A Military spokeswoman says they were delivered by hand, but says an aircraft leaflet-drop was made earlier to these villages notifying the people that a U.S. Soldier is missing and asking for information on his whereabouts:

U.S. Soldier Missing

The above graphic is not an actual picture the missing soldier. On the front it reads:

One of our American guests is missing.

The backside says:

Return the guest to his home. Call us at…,

Heart-wrenching appeals to the people who live among untold cruelty at the hands of those who are in possession of one of our own.

A Taliban militant said the U.S. Military has made three previous attempts to find the GI, but failed. He said the soldier is in a safe and secure place in a Taliban-controlled area. This spokesman said ransom demands, or an offer for a prisoner swap may be made, but warned that any attempts by foreigners to rescue him will lead to the soldier’s death.

Reuters reports that Mawlavi Sangin, a Taliban commander, issued warnings to the U.S. that continued “harassment” of the villagers in the area may also lead to the soldier’s death.

Reportedly, the U.S. Infantry soldier had just completed a shift and was off-duty when he walked off the U.S. base and left his body armor and weapon behind on June 30th. An anonymous U.S. military source said that communications by insurgents had been intercepted and it was believed that Taliban had the GI. Three Afghan nationals were abducted at the same time.

The Taliban commander, who spoke to Yousafzai [CBS correspondent] via satellite telephone from the region, said a group of militants cornered the American soldier and his Afghan counterparts near a U.S. military base and took them hostage.

But CBS News has learned that not long after the soldier disappeared, U.S. intelligence picked up radio chatter that he had been kidnapped. U.S. officials know he’s already been sold to another group of Afghans - but no direct contact has been made with the kidnappers.

This is believed to be the first abduction of a member of the U.S. Military in the almost-8-years since the War on Terror began. While leaflet-drops are ‘business as usual’ in these areas, those targeted have been the insurgents. This time villagers are warned. It’s a different ballgame. Read the entire article here.

Petraeus Discusses Way Ahead for Afghanistan

~Snooper~

Voices From The War

By Army Staff Sgt. Michael J. Carden
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON - Peace and stability in Afghanistan are incomplete without improving relations among the country and its neighbors, the top U.S. military commander in the region said here yesterday.

Army Gen. David H. Petraeus, U.S. Central Command commander, told an audience at the Washington Convention Center that the road to success in Afghanistan involves commitment and comprehensive coordination from Pakistan, India and possibly Russia and Iran to combat the spread of terror and extremism in central Asia.

"It's not possible to solve the challenges internal to Afghanistan without addressing the challenges, especially in terms of security, with Afghanistan's neighbors," Petraeus said in an address to the U.S. Institute of Peace. "A regional approach is required."

Petraeus spoke as part of a conference highlighting some of the foreign policy challenges facing President-elect Barack Obama's administration, citing complexities of the war in Afghanistan and his perspective on the way forward to bring peace to the region.

"There has been nothing easy about Afghanistan," he said. "Indeed, nearly every aspect has been hard, and that will continue to be the case in 2009 and the years beyond." [...] read the rest here

A War News Update

~Snooper~

As we all know, the Leftinistra have been trying to lose this war we have been fighting ever since it became politically expedient to do so. It didn't or, still doesn't matter to them how many are KIA, WIA or MIA on either side or where in the war it takes place. As long as they get to wrestle into Higher Authority positions, nothing else matters. Nothing. And I repeat...as long as they get to wrestle into Higher Authority positions, nothing else matters. Nothing.

Barack Obama has stated that he will bomb - at that time - an ally of ours, a nuclear armed ally of ours, Pakistan. He then denied it. And when he was reminded of it, he called it a personal attack. That's what one of many things is wrong with the Democrat leaders...they cannot accept personal responsibility and Obama isn't the only one. Many before him have taught him well.

In a previous post, I mentioned that Jihad Watch reported that the Taliban were going to step up attacks and a lot of those attacks are going to be carried out by their women folk. In one way, that is a good thing...the breeding factories of the "other" culture of death will no longer be spitting out little rug rat rug monkeys. Oh. Wait. They don't have rugs...they have mats. Whatever.

In the beginning days of the War, we watched, as I have said countless times, the terrorists flee Afghanistan. They fled to Pakistan, Tajikistan, Iran and Iraq with the bulk heading to Iraq because they never thought for a micro-second that the USA would re-enter Iraq. They thought we didn't have what it took. The last laugh is ours. The terrorists have been thoroughly whooped in Iraq. First, Al Anbar Province with Ramadi as Caliphate HQ was going to be the capital of the New Caliphate. That didn't work out so well. Next, the New Caliphate was going to be in Diyala Province with its base in Baquba. We all know how that all worked out much to the chagrin of our very own Leftinistra back here at home.

Then came the mopping up features which still amounted to heavy fighting which my son was involved in. The Sadrites were the last hold outs and they have since disbanded all together or have shrunk to an embarrassing number of hit and run cowards and Jihadi (Haji) scum. Remember Basra? Remember how the British did not engage in Basra until AFTER the fighting was nearly complete? I remember that. As American and Coalition Forces began the mop up stages in Iraq with the majority of the hold-outs up in Mosul and surrounding areas, the once mighty and self-vaunted hard-liner AQI are a mere shadow of their former selves. What remains have fled back into Afghanistan and Pakistan. As we watched them flee from Afghanistan trying to convince the world that "they have us where they want us", the shoe is now squarely on the other foot. They have fled Iraq for Afghanistan - right where we want them; out of Iraq. (photo courtesy DBKP)

If one doubts the successes in Iraq and why there is more fighting in Afghanistan, all one has to do is pay attention. From the NYT:
American military successes in Iraq have prompted growing numbers of well-trained “foreign fighters” to join the insurgency in Afghanistan instead, the Afghan defense minister said on Tuesday.

The minister, Gen. Abdul Rahim Wardak, told a news conference that the increased flow of insurgents from outside Afghanistan had contributed to the increased intensity of the fighting here this year, which he described as the “worst” since the toppling of the Taliban government by American-led forces in 2001. American commanders have said that overall violence here has increased by 30 per cent in the past year and have called for more troops.

The general said that “the success of coalition forces in Iraq” had combined with developments in countries neighboring Afghanistan to cause “a major increase in the number of foreign fighters” coming to Afghanistan. In addition, he said: “There is no doubt that they are better equipped than before. They are well trained, more sophisticated, and their coordination is much better.”

His reference to neighboring countries appeared to point to Pakistan, where Islamic militants with bases in tribal areas along the border have intensified their operations, both inside Pakistan and in support of the insurgency in Afghanistan. American commanders have said that most of the foreign fighters operating in Afghanistan are Pakistanis, Arabs, or from Muslim countries and communities in Central Asia and the Caucasus, including Chechens. But the great majority of the insurgents here are Afghans..

Please recall if you will as previously mentioned on this blog and a host of others that Barack had said that he would be meeting with no preconditions with our enemies. He tried to wiggle out of that and called upon Henry Kissingers' name in vain and was quickly mocked and humiliated first by John McCain and then Henry Kissinger. Now we have the Little Man from Iran saying that he will meet with the next American President WITH preconditions. JPA Live thinks that is quite comical and he has a special video supporting his chuckle-chuckle snort-snort. Others commenting on this issue are; Spree, wondering if Obama will meet the demands to dump Israel as one of those precondition; Wizbang, noting that Iran knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama is just as weak or even weaker that Jimmy Carter; (photo courtesy Anti-Mullah)

I mentioned the British before for a reason. Behold:
BRITISH troops are no longer needed for the security of Iraq and should go home, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has told a British newspaper.

"We thank them for the role they have played, but I think that their stay is not necessary for maintaining security and control," Mr Maliki told the Times.

"There might be a need for their experience in training and some technological issues, but as a fighting force, I don't think that is necessary."

Mr Maliki criticised the decision by Britain earlier this year to move its troops from a palace in Basra, which came under British responsibility after the 2003 US-led invasion, to their base at the airport.

"At the time Basra was not under control of the local government, but in the hands of the gangs and militias.... (British forces) stayed away from the confrontation, which gave the gangs and the militias the chance to control the city," he said.

"The situation deteriorated so badly that corrupted youths were carrying swords and cutting the throats of women and children. The citizens of Basra called out for our help... and we moved to regain the city."

Asked by the newspaper whether he thought Britain's move had been premature, he said: "Very."

The Prime Minister also criticised Britain's deal with Moqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army, Iraq's largest Shi'ite militia, to stop mortar and rocket attacks.

"Of course we were not comfortable and we conveyed our discomfort and regarded it as the beginning of a disaster," he said. [...]
That is quite an indictment towards the British forces and stems from British action or inaction in Basra. More on this later because the same British crap is being practiced in Afghanistan.

While we are at it, let's share some additional Good News that makes the skin of the Leftinistra crawl. Iraqi forces have moved into Mosul area to protect and/or save Iraqi Christians. Imagine that? The Christians there are entirely more brave than the wimpified Christians of the West. I wonder how many would be willing to die for their Faith as these Iraqi Christians are willing to do.

In other War News Updates, Jihad Watch brings us news that is troubling. It seems that AQ is trying to control traffic in the Red Sea. They are part of the "Water Jihad" and this is just crazy:
More indication that the Somali pirate raids are part of the jihad. Increased popularity for the water jihad may have to do with the fact that, according to most jurists, the jihadist who dies fighting at sea receives double the "reward" of the one who dies on land. [...]
So, now their hazard duty pay is 144 virgins. I hope they have some ExtenZe.

COB6 at Blackfive is asking if the recent mystery death ship of Iranian origin recently released by the terrorist pirates that they hijacked some weeks ago was actually enroute to Israel with a dirty bomb.
Remember that Iranian ship that the Somali pirates seized? Yeah the same one where the pirates suddenly started experiencing blisters, hair loss and even death.

I speculated earlier that the reported symptoms were dangerously close to what one would expect from severe radiation poisoning. Apparently others are thinking the same thing:
Russian sources are making that very assertion and like Blackfive states, if this is true, it an act of war and a nuclear one at that. I also wrote of this a few days ago. Continuing on with BF:
[...] The article implies that the cargo was rigged with massive explosives. If true, that is an act of war. Whether intended for Israel is irrelevant. It was intended for someone and that is an act of war.

Currently, the Americans, French and Russians are watching this ship and trying to figure out what to do.

Here's an idea. Tow it back to Iran under guard of a massive armada of warships. Dock it in Bandar Abbas (where all of Iran's refining capabilities are). Then inform "I'm a dinner jacket" that he has three days to unload the cargo. Failure to do so wwill result in a massive bombardment of the ship (on a particularly windy day).

That ought to kick the any hill a bit! [END]
Aye, Cap'n! Aye! The last piece is brought to us by the never ending and ever vigilant Herschel Smith writing about how we cannot negotiate with the Taliban. Many times on this blog, others I contribute to and on my BTR channel, I have stated countless times that terrorists cannot be negotiated with. Why? Because they don't want to. They consider it a sign of weakness and will push and push until their agenda is fulfilled, no matter how long it takes and no matter how many have to die in order to make it so.
[...] The Taliban are persuaded to fight for other reasons, there is insufficient force projection in Afghanistan, and Rosie is right. Calls for negotiations are not new, and in fact, negotiations themselves are not new, if you count negotiations as effeminate pleading by Hamid Karzai. Just as there have been “talks” with the Iranians for 25 years (contrary to the claims of the surrender-ists), there have been pleas by Hamid Karzai and his ilk for several years for the Taliban to end the violence. They have declined and will continue to do so. [END]
And that wraps up one more War News Update. In the Herschel Smith piece, he mentions a British Commander that did a pretty good impersonation of Harry Reid. You will have to read it to understand and it is why that Commander isn't in charge in Afghanistan and someone that knows what the deal is, is.

A Jihadi Scum Taliban "OH YEAH?" Moment.

AAFIA SIDDIQUI ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO KILL UNITED STATES OFFICERS IN AFGHANISTAN

~Snooper~

I saw this late last night and once again, Atlas Shrugs is on top of things:

Aafia Siddiqui is a MIT-trained neuroscientist who married a top Al Qaeda operative who intended to blow up gas stations or poison water reservoirs in the United States.. She is a possible associate of Majid Khan and she is believed to have links to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. She allegedly arranged travel documents for another suspected terrorist. [...]

Pat Dollard: Pissed Off And Wants Blood

~Snooper~

I don't blame Pat Dollard one bit. But, who is Pat Dollard anyway? Well, go here and find out.

Some time ago I penned a few posts and within those posts I expressed the thought and opinion that the Democrat Party leadership (the CONgress Critters) and their cohorts and fellow conspirators within the Republican Party leadership were directly responsible for the deaths and wounding of American and Coalition Forces fighting both in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have performed a lengthy study on my own volition and although I am not ready to publish the entire chronologically correct tome, I did in fact find a correlation. And, I have confirmed that the political leaders in the very dishonorable halls of CONgress, in their quest of and for power and control of all things in this nation, have contributed directly to the losses of life in a combat zone. Not all but more than half. I also found that the war, at least in Iraq, would have been over and that which we are witnessing in Iraq today, could have been realized in early 2007 or late to mid-2006. But, there was an election to be won and that is all that mattered to the Leftinistra - damn them all.

In a previous post: From an Army Rangers' Mouth About Iraq
[...] ... know this. I despise the likes of Nancy Pelosi. Taking it a few steps further, I actually hate her and would not bemoan her demise - from natural causes, naturally.

In more recent posts, I have called for the investigation in regards to the deaths of American Troops both in Iraq and Afghanistan which can be directly attributed to the defaming and blind hatred of President Bush and our Troops by the likes of Nancy Pelosi. She is the ring leader in the Lower House, after all and it is within her power to stop the nonsense. I have conducted a specific investigation of my own and there is a direct correlation to the spikes in attacks on American and Coalition forces fighting in this war. One of those spikes resulted in Spain removing their forces from Iraq which was repaid by yet another terrorist attack in Spain as a heart-felt thank you to Spain from Al Qaida.

Anyone within the construct of government service which conducts themselves such as Nancy Pelosi and her similar ilk in regards to this war, that, by the way, they all signed onto, are a disgrace to this nation and by the very definitions of treason, subversion and sedition, an investigation is in order and charges are required to be levied.

The Army Ranger that has originally called into a radio broadcast show was killed in action fighting a war Pelosi approved of in the first place. Thank you Nancy et al for prolonging this war and contributing to the deaths of the men and women that protect you and thank you Nancy et all for contributing to the deaths of my Brothers In Arms. May you rot in hell. The blood on your hands will never wash away. [...]
In this post entitled, Pelosi IS Guilty of Killing American Troops and Innocent Iraqi Civilians, we hear Nancy Pelosi herself thanking the government in Iran for, in essence, killing our Troops in and around Iraq. After all, it was Iran that has brought about the peace we are seeing now. (NOTE: our friend x_dhimmi (deb) made a You Tube video of Her Stretchness.)

In this post entitled, A Victory In Iraq Equates To A Defeat To Pelosi, one will find these quotes:
[...] Expect Pelosi to continue her efforts to discredit our military, since an American victory on the battlefield amounts to a Pelosi defeat at home. [...]

[...] So why any thoughtful American with any common sense would continue to support or vote for today's Democratic Party is beyond me. [...]

[...] Thinking as far back as the Eisenhower administration, I don't remember any politician, on either side of the aisle, hating America and praising the enemy as much as Pelosi does. [...]

[...] Once again, the Democrats prove that the word "Democrat" is synonymous with "traitor." Pelosi is the latest Democrat to verge on committing treason.

Her comments about Iran prove that Democrats do indeed hate the military and their country.

What other conclusion can you come up with when she praises Iran, but not Gen. David Petraeus? [...]
As the nation is ravaged by rising fuel costs across the country; as the approval ratings of the DNC led CONgress plummet like an F4 with dual engine failures; as each and every Leftinistra "program" and thought process is proven to be dismal failures; instead of accepting the personal and professional responsibility that adults would do for their own shortcomings, what does Nancy do? She blames President Bush and the Republican Party.

I said all of the above at the risk of repeating myself to acknowledge that I am not the only one that feels the way I do. Below are screen shots that I took earlier today with the sole purpose of raking the scab off of an old would that will not heal.

This screen shot was taken from this page. When you go there or click the image to enlarge it, you will find this caption: "Humvee blown up by Al Qaeda, Barack Hussein Obama and the rest of the Democrat Party, and the American Media. 2 KIA, 2 wounded." Pat Dollard was in this vehicle. He was wounded in this vehicle. He fought his way back to this vehicle. He crawled his way back to this vehicle with broken leg and other wounds. He was blown OUT of this vehicle by an IED. He isn't happy that Barack Obama is visiting the Troops because Barack Obama doesn't deserve to be in the presence of the Troops. "As I was flying through the sky, instead of being in a blackout as I should be, my mind was a perfectly focused computer: I realized that Conley had stepped directly onto a bomb, I realized he was dead, and I hoped as I landed that my wounds would not be so bad, and that I indeed might even survive. And somehow, I was able to wonder why I was completely free of the shock that 95% of the others told me they experienced. I wondered why I was so locked into the reality of what was happening."

This screen shot was taken from this page. There is another picture that I took a screen shot of on that same page and for a particular reason an d I will explain shortly. However, when enlarge the image, you will find the proper sentiment. He ends his sentiment as we at A Newt One have often expressed in no uncertain terms: "We have serious work to do here at home."

We have an electorate that has been brainwashed into believing that Democrats are Republicans and Republicans are Democrats. They are being taught this in our schools and colleges across this nation. I met hundreds of them in my quest across Michigan. I was astounded and flabbergasted. The indoctrination of impressionable youths in our schools is unconscionable. It is unacceptable and it is our fault - the movers and shakers of the Conservative Movement. We have fallen down and we cannot get back up. Shame on us and shame on the Conservative leaders in CONgress for being the cowards they have turned out to be. Now, for the last screen shot. Pay attention.

Again, this was taken of this page. It took me approximately .0000001 nano-seconds to discover the "problem" presented in this image. A basic student of body language will pick it out immediately. Those that know nothing of body language will miss it totally and will be lost in the discussion.

So, for those of you that see it, please let us know what you see in the comments section of this post. Either enlarge the image or visit the web site. In case you are wondering, more than likely, the cause for Pat's rant in the caption for the photo just above this one, is due to what he also noticed.

Yes, we have some serious work to do. But, do we have leaders that will do that which needs to be done? Are we going to wait for someone else to do it or, are we going to take the bull by the horns and do it ourselves?

As for me, I am way ahead of most so, watch my smoke.

Tony Blair and Nails

Tony Blair Nails It On The Head

Cross Posted from Wake up America

The Guardian has a piece out where Tony Blair speaks his mind and his words, if listened to, are a good example of what is wrong with the way we are fighting “radical Extreme Islamics“.

Jumping to one specific paragraph here so I can explain my statement above.

Pelosi, Reid, far left liberals LISTEN UP, this is a lesson you folks refuse to learn.

Blair added: ‘How are [we] oppressing them? You’re oppressing them when you support the people who are trying to blow them up.’

Thats it in a nutshell folks.

How many times do you see a liberal blog accuse the conservatives of lumping all Muslims in with extremists?

The opposite is the truth actually.

I have often, as well as seen other conservatives often, separate the two, because they are separate.

A few examples:
A Heartfelt Thank You to the Muslim Delegation
Moderate Muslims Take a Stand….Again
Moderate Muslim’s Speak Up Again

Why do conservatives separate the two? Because they are two different species from each other, Moderate Muslims wish to live in peace and practice their religion, Extremists wish to force everyone to practice their religion or DIE.

It is the liberals playing thier political games that misrepresent how conservatives separate the two and instead of helping us fight extremists. They claim that by going after those extremists we are being “racist” or hate “all” Muslims.

This must stop because there is an enemy out there and denying it does not mean they do not want you dead.

More from Blair:

The idea that as a Muslim in this country that you don’t have the freedom to express your religion or your views, I mean you’ve got far more freedom in this country than you do in most Muslim countries,’ Blair told Observer columnist Will Hutton, who presents the documentary.

‘The reason we are finding it hard to win this battle is that we’re not actually fighting it properly. We’re not actually standing up to these people and saying, “It’s not just your methods that are wrong, your ideas are absurd. Nobody is oppressing you. Your sense of grievance isn’t justified.”‘

Blair held out the example of the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan - criticised by Islamists as an example of the heavy-handed imperial West oppressing Muslims - to highlight unfounded claims of grievance. He asked how it is possible to claim that Afghanistan’s Muslims are being oppressed when the Taliban ‘used to execute teachers for teaching girls in schools’.

Blair added: ‘How are [we] oppressing them? You’re oppressing them when you support the people who are trying to blow them up.’

Blair, who normally chooses his language carefully when he talks about Islamists, also takes a swipe at critics who accused him of undermining civil liberties. ‘When I’m trying to change the law in order to make it easier to deport people who engage in terrorism - the idea that that’s an assault on hundreds of years of British civil liberties is completely absurd. Some of what is written on this is loopy-loo in its extremism.’

He could be speaking about America because there is no difference between the accusations of the left from the UK and the accusations from the left here in the U.S.

Perhaps the left should do as the right consistently does and start separating the Moderates who wish to live in peace from the radical extremists that want us dead.

Maybe then we could stop the extremists at the same time as we open our arms and welcome the moderates.

If Americans, as one, do not start taking this threat from extremists seriously and stop worrying about being “politically correct” and start worrying about protecting ourselves as a nation, then the next attack on American soil, WILL be our own fault for encouraging the extremists instead of standing up against them.

The Moderate Muslims have shown the courage to stand up against the radicals that have hijacked their religion, when is America’s left going to show that same courage and backbone instead of burying their heads in the sand and claiming there is no threat?

There IS a threat. They want you dead. They want me dead. They want our children dead.

“Fight those who do not believe in Allah, … nor follow
the religion of truth… until they pay the tax in acknowledg-ment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”
Qur’an, Sura 9:29

The horror stories are there for anyone to see:

Man Sexually Assaulted in Pakistan After Refusing to Convert to Islam

Joseph Francis, the National Director of CLAAS, explained: “When he entered the drawing room, he found it filled with unknown people. They began to beat him severely. They threatened him with dire consequences if he did not accept Islam. After his refusal, they committed sodomy with him one by one for the whole night.”

Or these words from The Ayatollah about Sex with infants:

“A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby.
However, he should not penetrate. If he penetrates and the child is
harmed then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life.
This girl, however would not count as one of his four permanent wives”.
(Arabic Source)

Michael Yon’s latest most chilling report from Iraq:

Caption:

Soldiers from 5th IA said al Qaeda had cut the heads off the children. Had al Qaeda murdered the children in front of their parents? Maybe it had been the other way around: maybe they had murdered the parents in front of the children. Maybe they had forced the father to dig the graves of his children.

Read his whole detailed piece in full to see the type of monsters we are dealing with all over the world.

Even Moderate Muslims are telling liberals to stop denying reality:

Radical Islam is a grim reality, despite liberal pretensions to the contrary. Today, FSM Contributing Editor M. Zuhdi Jasser continues his passionate appeal for combating global terror, pointing out the dangerous folly of ignoring the root causes of this growing ideological cancer.

This Muslim also points out that you cannot be politically correct AND fight the Global War on Terror and he makes no bones in telling President Bush this same thing.

Mr. President, as a devout Muslim, I can tell you that the only way the United States can make progress in this war is to have your administration give anti-Islamist Muslims acknowledgement for the centrality of their ideas in this war of ideologies. We can defeat political Islam only if we engage it and marginalize Islamists while positively engaging spiritual Islam. It is time for the administration to set the parameters defining the ideology we are fighting and be critical of organizations which facilitate it. The words of encouragement and admonition to Muslim organizations to lead the charge against radicalism are too vague. The reality is that the priorities, ideologies, and minority politics of the current agenda of the Islamic organizations the administration has courted and which attended last Wednesday’s press conference are far from being on the right page in this conflict.

For example, the central role of the informant has become a cornerstone of our security. The primary informant in the arrest related to the JFK Plot demonstrated this. The Circuit City informant demonstrated the same with his tip leading to the arrests of the Fort Dix Six just weeks ago. The informants and so many others have stepped up in connection with other foiled plots despite the pressures against them from Islamists and the MSM. MSM often feed into conspiracy theories about informants, by legitimizing the victimization of Muslims for being “coerced” as informants. The Denver Post made just such a claim as recently as May 18, 2007. Their report claimed that, “Arab-Americans and Muslims are concerned about FBI efforts to recruit them as informants and other tactics designed to prevent terrorism.” This story was, to no one’s surprise, picked up and widely distributed by the Islamist organizations, e.g. CAIR.

Nothing illustrates the insidious dangers of political Islam (Islamism) more than this type of philosophy regarding informants. Rather than being celebrated as heroes, they are ignored, or subliminally treated as ‘traitors to the tribe’. Sadly, the latest message coming from Islamists is still far from endorsing the heroism of the informant but rather issuing frightening warnings that they may become defendants in a national lawsuit. Just this week, the lawyer for the flying imams, Omar Mohammedi, tried to prevent media access to the trial in his case against US Airways and the “John Does”. This again demonstrates the hypocrisy of the Islamists using the media when they need to be victims but denying freedom of press when they want to camouflage their agenda. The reality is that the informants are our 21st century heroes. Are Muslim organizations working feverishly to create a culture in the mosques and in our organizations of weeding out the bad apples? Or is the allegiance to political Islam greater and more intimidating? These are the questions the President should be asking instead of reiterating the same tired platitudes.

He then speaks to the denial based crowd, yes that means YOU, LIBERALS:

Denial and obfuscation feed the infinite time loop. Conspiracy theories feed the loop. Tribalism with an arrogance masking a collective inferiority complex feeds the loop. Hatred feeds it even more. Put all this together, and the nutritional source must be political Islam. It has no boundaries and seeks governmental domination. Political Islam has no moral courage for it is not based in universal truths of the one God of Abraham separated from the political affairs of this world. It is an ideology which accepts no responsibility for the plight of Muslims while blaming all others. Nations based upon individual freedom and liberty over collectivism and tribalism pose existential threats to the existence of the Islamists. This conflict can no longer be ignored.

[…]

Create a pervasive conspiracy mentality. Magnify victimization of the Muslim minority. Try litigation against those who work to defeat political Islam, even if it fails since it will ultimately intimidate. Divide America across religious lines; this will exploit American guilt while allowing political Islam to thrive. Sue the John Does who report suspicious activity. Base it on a claim of racism. Ignore the terror plots broken up by heroes who are or were John Does. It’s all about the theocratic tribe and the long term goals of political Islam and an Islamic state. Use the rules of pluralistic democracy to intimidate those who counter Islamism. Never allow the debate to begin between Muslim anti-Islamists and Islamists.

Read the whole piece and if you are one of those that he speaks of, SHAME ON YOU because you are the ones fascilitating the horrible killings in the name of Allah.

Would you dare call HIM a Muslim hater? A racist?

As long as people like John Edwards denies that there is a Global War on Terror going on, he and others that live in denial like him are encouraging more recruitment and more killing instead of having the courage to stand up and fight it with every breath in their bodies.

Extremism is all around us, as witnessed by honor killings in London as well as here in America.

These examples go on and on and on and yet we still see comments like the ones John Edwards made, “There is no Global War on Terror” or comments about how Jihad extremists are not as much of a threat as the “conservatives” make it out to be.

Denial is a dangerous thing and the Liberals cannot see past their Bush Hatred to see what is right in front of their face.

I quoted Dr. Sanity’s blog yesterday which speaks to this denial:

Dr Sanity manages to nail it right on the head and declares those that live in complete denial, INSANE.

I wish I could tell you that the political left in this country was out of its friggin’ mind…but I can’t, because it is increasingly clear that if you could put all the combined synapses of all the the above bloggers together you would not get a single logical or coherent thought about the war that is being waged against the West by the religion of peace.

These bloggers and many of their readers are on a mission to go where no human has gone before. They are beyond mere denial and delusion; beyond psychosis even. I regularly treat schizophrenics who have more respect for reality.

Then for the best part:

Sadly, they suffer from a totally debilitating disorder: Severe Acquired Leftist Anencephalic Dementia (SALAD). Their minds are simply not there any more! The cognitive dissonance of believing so many bizarre and contradictory fantasies; the mental contortions and fits necessary for them to retain their ideological myths has caused their minds to softly and silently vanish away (that’s what happens when the snark is a boojum, you see).

Why do the liberal left of our country keep defending and encouraging these murderers?

More importantly, how can they deny what is right in front of their face?

  1. I guess those of us that live in the world of reality can never understand the mindset of those that continue to deny the undeniable.

  4. I agree with much of what is here. I really don’t think that highly of Islam itself, to tell you the truth, but I suppose I have no problem with you if you’re willing to disregard the huge violent, hateful sections of the Qur’an.

On a related note, snooper, I looked in the ‘Studies in Islam Collection’ because of your suggestion in my blog the other day while writing my most recent post on dhimmitude. I wasn’t to find much information on the subject. If you know of anything I may have missed that would have been useful on that post (it’s here, for reference: http://mdvp.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/dhimmitude-part-two-the-basic-rules-of-subjugation/) , I am still working on posts on dhimmitude and would greatly appreciate information you have posted on it, if you don’t mind. :)

War In Afghanistan

Afghanistan Says 26 Taliban Killed in South

Surely, Allah is running out of virgins! And, if Muhammad is with Allah, the virgins have been de-virginized already…especially if they were under 16 years old.

FNC

KABUL, Afghanistan — Two operations in a volatile southern Afghanistan province killed 26 Taliban militants, including several commanders, the Afghan Interior Ministry said Thursday.

More coverage of the struggle for stability is available in FOXNews.com’s Afghanistan Center.

Twenty “enemies” were killed in the Shah Wali Kot district of Kandahar province on Wednesday, while eight were injured, the ministry said. In the nearby district of Zhari, six Taliban fighters were killed, it said.

NATO’s International Security Assistance Force confirmed a clash in Shah Wali Kot but said it had no details.

TRAIL OF TERROR

Iran caught ‘red-handed’ shipping arms to Taliban. Report says supplies will prolong insurgency efforts in Afghanistan.

Iran has been caught “red-handed” shipping arms, explosives and advanced roadside bombs to the Taliban in Afghanistan, according to a new report that concludes the operations undoubtedly will prolong the conflict there.

The report from ABC said the discovery reveals “a dramatic escalation of Iran’s proxy war against the United States and Great Britain.”

“It is inconceivable that it is anyone other than the Iranian government that’s doing it,” said former White House counterterrorism official Richard Clarke, now an ABC News consultant.

Democrats Vow To Continue Fight For Troop Withdrawal Timetable

Let them grovel as the dingos that they are. They have doomed themselves to obscurity once again. They have shown the world but most importantly, the American People, what they really are and for whom and to whom they have sworn allegiances to…our enemies.

(CBS/AP)

(AP) President Bush signed a bill Friday to pay for military operations in Iraq after a bitter struggle with Democrats in Congress who sought unsuccessfully to tie the money to U.S. troop withdrawals.

Marine Corps Reserve Cpl. Mark A. Camp

Marine Corps Reserve Cpl. Mark A. Camp

Marine Corps Reserve Cpl. Mark A. Camp

As he crawled back into the wreckage, heat was cooking off ammunition all around him, ammunition that ricocheted inside even as insurgents continued to fire from outside. And then there was another explosion. Camp fell back out of the vehicle, on fire once more. Again, he beat his body until the flames subsided.

His comrade was still in the vehicle. So Camp went back inside and tried to grip the Marine’s pack, his helmet – anything – but by then Camp’s skin was melting from his hands. Camp later told the Columbus Dispatch, “I [was] screaming for someone to help me . . . someone with fresh hands.” Finally, some Marines answered his calls, and pulled Camp and the other Marine free.

For his actions and bravery, Camp was awarded the Silver Star on May 15, 2006. Columbus Dispatch story.
