Fugitive political fundraiser Norman Hsu, who skipped out on San Mateo County authorities this week rather than face sentencing in a fraud scheme, was apprehended tonight by federal and local lawmen in Grand Junction, Colo.

Authorities said Hsu was taken into custody at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction at 7 p.m. local time. He had been on the lam for almost two days after failing to appear in a Redwood City courtroom Wednesday to surrender his passport.

Hsu’s attorney told state prosecutors that he had been on a charter flight that arrived at Oakland International Airport at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday and then dropped out of sight, said Gareth Lacy, a spokesman for the state Attorney General’s office.

A day after Clinton super-donor Norman Hsu failed to show up for his date with a California judge comes word that another high profile Hillary backer is in deep trouble with the law.

Passaic Mayor Sammy Rivera, recently named to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s national Hispanic outreach team was one of 11 Jersey politicians snared in a federal sting involving school contracts, according to press accounts. It’s not clear if Rivera was due to attend Clinton’s suddenly ill-timed speech to N.J. Dems in Atlantic City tomorrow.

Hillary just isn't having a good week here. Good. Spin that.

As evidenced by the verbiage of this complete and total moronic dunderhead, Pelosi, in her infinite holier-than-thou ignorance and stupidity, has just announced to the world that the Lame Stream Media carries more weight than a Battle Commander In The Field. This is the epitome of insult to the men and women of character in the United States Military. This DAV is NOT happy at the moment and as far as I am concerned, if Pelosi's guts were on fire, I would not shove a water hose up her anal aperture to extinguish the raging blaze. I would watch.

In a previous post I made this evening, it is all so apparent that the verbiage therein is absolutely true. The Leftinistra are running scared, and, as I have been shouting from the rooftops since long BEFORE the elections of 2006, when the war became the political football device to lie their way into prominence, the Truth is going to come out and the Leftinistra will do EXACTLY (Zachry) that which they are doing TODAY.

In light of the reports coming out of Iraq by politicians that have visited the area, the Truth that we are winning the war via military action and winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people, the Leftinistra which have invested heavily in defeat, are trying in a vain attempt to discredit General Petraeus before he reports in.

The lying Pelosi knows damn well about who is reporting what and to whom and who is writing what to whom and who is going to report to whom. THEY (the Leftinistra) PUT IT INTO THE LAW!! And because they put into the law, knowing damn well that very few will take the time to actually read the damn thing, have decided to ignore that which they have placed into the law.

They (the Leftinistra) are counting on their moonbat base to NOT read it because their base are drones and have no means of which to actually research facts on their own. It is too hard for them.

For the lazy and the ignorant masses, here, in a nutshell are excerpts from HR 2206, the law the Leftinistra wrote and are now ignoring for political gain and defeatist rhetoric and cowardly actions.

Let me show you and Hat Tip to Influence Peddler because it was taking me forever to go through each and every word of H.R.2206,U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007 (Engrossed Amendment as Agreed to by House), to find the portion I had saw when the bill was first passed.

It's also worth looking at exactly what Congress has required for September 15. I've written on it before. Here's what Congress passed, and the President signed:

(A) The President shall submit an initial report, in classified and unclassified format, to the Congress, not later than July 15, 2007, assessing the status of each of the specific benchmarks established above, and declaring, in his judgment, whether satisfactory progress toward meeting these benchmarks is, or is not, being achieved.

(B) The President, having consulted with the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, the Commander, Multi-National Forces Iraq, the United States Ambassador to Iraq, and the Commander of U.S. Central Command, will prepare the report and submit the report to Congress.

(C) If the President’s assessment of any of the specific benchmarks established above is unsatisfactory, the President shall include in that report a description of such revisions to the political, economic, regional, and military components of the strategy, as announced by the President on January 10, 2007. In addition, the President shall include in the report, the advisability of implementing such aspects of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group, as he deems appropriate.

(D) The President shall submit a second report to the Congress, not later than September 15, 2007, following the same procedures and criteria outlined above.

Is there any lack of clarity as to whom Congress tasked to prepare and submit the report? Anyone surprised that the report is being prepared by the White House, with the input of appropriate officials in Iraq and throughout the Executive Branch?

Now... a couple questions obviously present themselves here.

#1. Did Congress deliberately require the White House/ President to "submit" this report after having "consulted" with "the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, the Commander, Multi-National Forces Iraq, the United States Ambassador to Iraq, and the Commander of U.S. Central Command", knowing that they could then count on their supporters, such as Think Progress to either lie, claiming surprise this report would be written by the president, OR counting on their supporters to be ignorant enough to not have read the original wording to begin with?

#2. Are the blogs such as Think progress, and the other examples I named, really "acting" surprised and thereby lying to their readers by implying this is new news and it was not what Congress themselves mandated OR did they did not read the original wording of what Congress required ?

Take your pick, are they willfully lying to their readers or are the simply too ignorant to have read the original wording?

Is there another option here I have missed?

Illegal Immigration Alert: It's BAAAAACK!

What do our elected officials do when they don't get their way on the issue of amnesty for illegal aliens? They simply piecemeal the amnesty bill and try to sneak it into other bills. They think we won't notice.

Yeah, right!

This week, The Dream Act will rear its ugly head as Senator Dick Durbin tries to insert it into our Defense Authorization Bill. On Friday, Durbin stated:

What I tried to do several years ago was to write a law to take into consideration these young people. It is called the DREAM Act. The DREAM Act was a part of this comprehensive immigration reform bill. Here is what it says: If you came to the United States before the age of 16, if you have lived in this country for at least 5 years, if you graduate from high school, and then if you will complete either 2 years of college or 2 years of service in the military, we will give you an opportunity for legal status in America.

Durbin announced that he would be offering the Dream Act as an amendment this week:

On the floor of the Senate, when we return next week, we will resume consideration of the Defense authorization bill. It turns out that many in the Department of Defense believe, as I do, that the DREAM Act is an important part of making certain we have talented young men and women ready to serve in our military. I have spoken to people at the Department of Defense who support the idea of the DREAM Act. I think we ought to include it in the Defense authorization bill. I hope to have that opportunity. [snip]

I hope when we return to the Defense authorization bill we can make the DREAM Act part of that bill. Certainly, it is going to help our defense and help our military. I think it is going to help America even beyond that. [snip]

Mr. President, as I said, I rise to speak about legislation known as the DREAM Act, which I hope to offer as an amendment to the Defense authorization bill.

And Durbin goes on to say how much Americans need these illegal aliens - our military will crumble without them, ahem, well, at least according to Durbin:

Some people might ask why the Senate should revisit immigration again and whether an immigration amendment should be included in the Defense authorization bill. The answer is simple: The DREAM Act would address a very serious recruitment crisis that faces our military.

Under the DREAM Act, tens of thousands of well-qualified potential recruits would become eligible for military service for the first time. They are eager to serve in the Armed Forces during a time of war. And under the DREAM Act they would have a very strong incentive to enlist because it would give them a path to permanent legal status.

Trying to hide amnesty for illegal aliens in the Defense Authorization bill by pretending that it is necessary for our Department of Defense and our military is a bunch of hooey and we all know it.

And, of course, Durbin then goes into a chorus of " they are only here to do the job that Americans won't do " as he cites a survey that compares Hispanics to Caucasians:

The DREAM Act doesn't mandate military service. A student who is otherwise eligible could earn legal status by attending college. It would be inconsistent with the spirit our volunteer military to force young people to enlist as a condition for obtaining legal status.

But the DREAM Act creates a strong incentive for military service. And many DREAM Act kids come from a demographic group that is already predisposed towards military service. A 2004 survey by the Rand Corporation found that 45 percent of Hispanic males and 31 percent of Hispanic females between ages 16 and 21 were very likely to serve in the Armed Forces, compared to 24 percent of White men and 10 percent of White women.

Ok, that's Dick Durbin's spin on the Dream Act but let's get a few thoughts from a person that actually possesses a bit of sanity and wisdom...

Kris Kobach wrote an article for The Heritage Foundation after the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 (S. 2611) was passed by the U.S. SenÂ-ate about this amendment in which he explains that the Dream Act has less to do with our military and a whole lot to do with a general amnesty:

The DREAM Act is a nightmare. It repeals a 1996 federal law that prohibits any state from offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens unless the state also offers in-state tuition rates to all U.S. citizens. On top of that, the DREAM Act offers a separate amnesty to illegal-alien students.

It also gives amnesty to ten states that openly violate Federal law, Kobach writes:

Events of the past 10 years illustrate how the DREAM Act would undermine the rule of law. In September 1996, Congress passed the landmark Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant ResponÂ-sibility Act (IIRIRA). Led by Lamar Smith (RâEURO"TX) in the House of Representatives and Alan Simpson (RâEURO" WY) in the Senate, Congress significantly toughÂ-ened the nation's immigration laws. To his credit, President Bill Clinton signed the bill into law.

Open-borders advocates in some states -- most notably California -- had already raised the possiÂ-bility of offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens who attend public universities. To prevent such a development, the IIRIRA's sponsors inserted a clearly worded provision that prohibited any state from doing so unless it provided the same disÂ-counted tuition to all U.S. citizens:

"Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State (or a political subdivision) for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit (in no less an amount, duration, and scope) without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident."

Members of Congress reasoned that no state would be interested in giving up the extra revenue from out-of-state students, so this provision would ensure that illegal aliens would not be rewarded with a taxpayer-subsidized college education. The IIRIRA's proponents never imagined that some states might simply disobey federal law.

But, according to Kobach, that didn't stop some of the states:

The majority of state legislatures had the good sense to reject the idea, but eight states followed the examples of California and Texas, including some states in the heart of "red" America. Today, the 10 states that offer in-state tuition to illegal aliens are California, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

In most of these states, the law was passed under cover of darkness because public opinion was strongly against subsidizing the college education of illegal aliens at taxpayer expense. The governors even declined to hold press conferences or signing ceremonies heralding the new laws.

Under the "cover of darkness" - sound familiar? What our constituents don't know, won't hurt us ... or so they think.

But in-state tuition isn't the only 'gift' in the Dream Act that Koback found:

This amnesty opens a wide path to citizenship for any alien who entered the country before the age of 16 and has been in the country for at least five years. As with the rest of the Senate bill, the guiding notion seems to be "The longer you have violated federal law, the better."

Beyond that, all the alien needs is a high school diploma or a GED earned in the United States. Alternatively, he need only persuade an institution of higher education in the United StatesâEURO"any comÂ-munity college, technical school, or collegeâEURO"to admit him.

The DREAM Act abandons any pretense of "temÂ-porary status" for the illegal aliens who apply. Instead, all amnesty recipients are awarded lawful permanent resident (green card) status. The only caveat is that the alien's status is considered "condiÂ-tional" for the first six years. To move on to the norÂ-mal green card, the alien need only obtain a degree from any institution of higher education, complete two years toward a bachelor's degree, or show that doing so would present a hardship to himself or his family members. Of course, an alien with a normal green card can bring in family members and seek citizenship.

Furthermore, the DREAM Act makes it absurdly easy for just about any illegal alien -- even one who does not qualify for the amnesty -- to evade the law. According to Section 624(f), once an alien files an application -- any application, no matter how ridicÂ-ulous -- the federal government is prohibited from deporting him. Moreover, with few exceptions, fedÂ-eral officers are prohibited from either using inforÂ-mation from the application to deport the alien or sharing that information with another federal agency, under threat of up to $10,000 fine.

Thus, an alien's admission that he has violated federal immigration law cannot be used against him -- even if he never had any chance of qualifyÂ-ing for the DREAM Act amnesty in the first place. The DREAM Act also makes illegal aliens eligible for various federal student loans and work-study programs.

What part of NO don't these clowns understand? The American people have angrily tried to shout down amnesty and public benefits to people who illegally enter this country but Durbin and Company continue to try to spend our tax dollars on it anyway.

It is typical for our elected officials to betray us by taking parts of failed legislation and attaching them to legislation that they know will pass.

This has to be stopped now or the amnesty bill we just succeeded in killing will be resurrected and passed - piece-by-piece.

We are going to have to watch these guys like a bunch of two-year-olds. I've got to tell you, friends, I sure get tired of babysitting them and I hope we elect some adults in 2008.

Just HOW LOW Will the Libs/Dems/Scammers Go?

I have no proof dems and libs are involved in this, but frankly, after what we’ve seen the last six months in Congress, the corruption, money laundering, extreme ethics violations, etc., it would NOT surprise me one single iota to find they are indeed behind this in some measure.

Just what am I talking about? The Nigerian Scam with a twist. Using a US Soldier’s name to get attention–a currently serving US soldier. I mean, after all, let’s see how far these bottom feeding slime will take the name of the United States, engender further hatred toward those that defend our freedom, splatter them with more of the scandal that clings to dems and libs like the designer clothes they adore.

In other words, I’m royally PISSED OFF, and based on the cowards and criminals in congress, protesting in our streets, releasing shockumentaries, babbling from their soapboxes, I’m gonna say what I damn well please and if y’all don’t like it, tough. MY country, MY soldiers, MY freedom of speech.

The Lies of The Leftinistra

I would like to thank Snooper for the honor of inviting me to contribute on his wonderful blog.

I am reposting a piece I wrote showing the realities vs the lies the left keep telling their supporters.

We keep hearing a litany of allegations from the left about how we went to war with Iraq only because of WMD’s, but after 9/11/01, the president of the United States of America, with members of both the Republican party AND the Democratic party standing beside him, made a speech where he said:

From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime. Our nation has been put on notice, we’re not immune from attack. We will take defensive measures against terrorism to protect Americans. Today, dozens of federal departments and agencies, as well as state and local governments, have responsibilities affecting homeland security.

Those on the left would like to forget that nations that harbor or support terrorism are part of the war on terror.

They cry out, but Saddam Hussein did not have anything to do with 9/11…. I say, prove it.

There is plenty of proof showing Saddam Hussein and Iraq did indeed “harbor” and “support” terrorism, and further “proof” that he also aided members of al-Qaeda. These are called facts, provable fact, those pesky little things members on the left hate. (Hat Tip to Gateway Pundit for the link)

Those same members on the left, when faced with the actual proof, would rather act like children, put there fingers in their ears and sing la la la la la la la, so as to not have to admit those facts are there. Well they are there and denying it simply makes you look foolish and uneducated.

Have they found WMD’s in Iraq yet? NO. Have they searched more than 10% of the suspected sites yet? NO. Has this administration made mistakes in Iraq? YES. Does that negate the facts that Saddam Hussein was a monster and provided aid, money, medical attention and sponsored terror. NO.

Below I will list excerpts from the page linked to above.

Let’s start with money. At a minimum, we know that Saddam Hussein’s government supported terrorism by paying “bonuses” of up to $25,000 to the families of Palestinian homicide bombers. How do we know this? Tariq Aziz, Hussein’s own deputy prime minister, was stunningly candid about the Baathist government’s underwriting of terrorist killings in Israel.

“President Saddam Hussein has recently told the head of the Palestinian political office, Faroq al-Kaddoumi, his decision to raise the sum granted to each family of the martyrs of the Palestinian uprising to $25,000 instead of $10,000,” Aziz, announced at a Baghdad meeting of Arab politicians and businessmen on March 11, 2002, Reuters reported the next day.

“Nations that harbor or support terrorism“. Iraq continually provided safe harbor for terrorists.

Beyond cash and diplomatic help, Saddam Hussein was the Conrad Hilton of the terrorist world. He provided a place for terrorists to kick back, relax, and reflect after killing people for a living.

After escaping Italian police in October 1985 following the Achille Lauro hijacking (thanks to his Iraqi diplomatic passport), Abu Abbas finally ended up in Baghdad in 1994, where he lived comfortably as one of Saddam Hussein’s guests. U.S. soldiers caught Abbas in Iraq in April 2003. This time, he did not get away. He died last March 9, in American custody, reportedly of natural causes.

Abbas’ Baghdad sojourn was not an isolated incident. Saddam Hussein granted avowed international terrorists refuge in Baathist Iraq. Terror mastermind Abu Nidal also enjoyed his hospitality.

Nidal lived comfortably in Iraq between 1999 and August 2002. As the Associated Press reported on August 21, 2002, Nidal’s Beirut office said he entered Iraq “with the full knowledge and preparations of the Iraqi authorities.” 13 Prior to his relocation, he ran the eponymous Abu Nidal Organization — a Palestinian terror network behind attacks in 20 countries, at least 407 confirmed murders, and some 788 other terror-related injuries. Among other savage acts, Nidal’s group used guns and grenades to attack a ticket counter at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci airport on December 27, 1985. Another cell in Austria simultaneously assaulted Vienna’s airport, killing 19 people.

Among the five Americans that Abu Nidal murdered that day was John Buonocore III, a 20-year-old Fairleigh Dickinson College student who had studied in Rome that fall semester. Buonocore was shot in the back while checking in for his flight home. He had hoped to return to Wilmington, Delaware to help his father celebrate his 50th birthday.

We then move on to debunk the lefts outright lies or lack of eduaction with the question:

The Ins and Outs of This War…2007

The only “wars” in recent times that I know of that took a very short time to “win” are the Faulkland Islands and the Invasion of Grenada. The current “war” we are involved in has been going on for decades upon decades upon decades. This “debacle” as touted by the Reids of the world must first be understood for what it is; a Global War of Jihad. There really is only one way to have an ultimate and clear-cut end…total annihilation of the enemy.

Some would have us believe that we can negotiate a settlement with the Global Jihadists. Others proclaim that a radical few have hijacked an otherwise peaceful “religion”. Both of these noble premise, although well intended, are as wrong as wrong can get. There is no such thing as “peaceful Islam”. I would like for someone to tell me of one instance…just one and only one…where there was ever a “peaceful Islam”.

What is Jihad?

What is Jihad: The Arabic word Jihad is derived from the root word Jahada (struggle). Jihad has come to mean an offensive war to be waged by Muslims against all non-Muslims to convert them to Islam on the pain of death. Jihad is enjoined on all Muslims by the Quran.

We have a series on this blog dedicated to the exposure of what our pathetic political leaders cannot nor will not accept…it is not politically expedient and it is surely not politically correct to KNOW the truth.

Perhaps this video will begin to cast a glimmer of a shadow of a hope that a dim light at the end of an infinite tunnel will begin to glow.

I find it appalling that the American Quest and Lust for Political Power within my country has brought us to the brink of self-induced destruction. We haven’t been this politically split since 1861 and look how that unfolded. Idealism. Realism. And any other “ism” imaginable or invented to espouse one’s “world view” will be the demise of this nation called The United States of America.

What are we united against? What are we united for? We hear a minority in numbers tout separation of Church and State, when there is no such doctrine in the Constitution, when it comes to the Ten Commandments on display in courtrooms and elsewhere yet we allow without impunity, the fabrication and construction of Islamic “cleansing basins“, a religion-based tenet of foot-washing in our universities, tax dollars supported. We allow “special” public schools where “peaceful Islam” can be taught to the “peaceful Jihadist’s” children in our school systems.

We allow “peaceful religious” Islamic militant compounds to thrive on our own soil yet we take down the Branch Davidians. Duplicitous does not even scratch the surface of this sham called Separation of Church and State.

I read today in the “harpy” news media all manner of wrong-headed and politically charged rhetoric, politically driven, naturally, as to the “ill-gotten when will it all end” nonsense. Those of us that are in The Know, laugh scornfully at the uneducated.

It will all end when the world is ruled by the Caliphate.

…we STILL have her pegged as the liar she is. David Limbaugh has her number. Have I mentioned that hillary is a fraud as well as being a liar? Just curious. We have all heard the bidens and compant claim that “this is Bush’s war” and now hillary parrots that same lie and lame DNC rhetoric.

I do, however, take issue with David’s statement, “…before the war’s popularity went in the gutter …”.

What does that mean? Is that more journalistic political correctness garbage? No wonder someone once told me not to go into journalism. I was told that it was a dying “art”. Popular? By whose standards? And by whose definition?

I remember WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in High School days when certain people were “popular”. The anti-establishment crowds were “popular”. The criminal elements were “popular”. The girls that slept around were “popular”. I figured out way back then that being “popular” was not really a good thing. I wasn’t “popular” but I did have one of the fastest cars in 5 counties, I was a track star (always in the paper) and I was one of the best right wingers (go figure) on the soccer teams and had an AWESOME corner kick down to a science.

“Popular”? No thanks. Perhaps when wars become “popular”, the aliens from Andromeda will come save us.

2007-04-20) — Attempting to clarify yesterday’s statement that the war in Iraq is “lost“, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said today that he “supports the troops who lost the war.”

In an audiotape recorded from an undisclosed location and released through Al-Jazeera TV, Sen. Reid said, “The troops who lost the war should hold their heads high, because not everyone can be a winner, and they gave it a good try.”

CIA analysis of the tape indicates the voice is “almost certainly” Sen. Reid’s and that references to recent events show that the Democrat leader may still be at large, in good health and “substantially in charge” of his network of Democrat senators.

On the tape, Sen. Reid also said, “It’s not the fault of our troops that they represent an evil regime, or that they wear the uniform of the nation viewed by many as ‘the Great Satan.’”

The Nevada Democrat said he looks forward to welcoming the troops home, so that many of them can “lay down their weapons and return to the world of decent and honorable work.”

Is there ANY doubt as to how Reid really feels about our troops????

Two days before outed CIA agent Valerie Plame testified before Congress, she and husband Joseph Wilson had dinner with Hillary Clinton — and an intriguing fourth party.

Joining the three was Sidney Blumenthal, a journalist who served as a senior advisor to President Bill Clinton for 3 1/2 years.

“Do you think they might have worked on talking points for Valerie’s congressional testimony?” wondered journalist Eileen McGann, co-author with Dick Morris of several books about the Clintons.

“Remember: Sidney was advising Hillary about how to spin the Lewinsky story. He’s the one who put out Hillary’s comments that Bill was just helping a troubled young girl.

“Sidney’s been awfully quiet lately, but maybe he’s been helping out the Wilsons — and thereby Mrs. Clinton too.”

McGann pointed to a passage in Hillary’s book “Living History,” about the morning Bill told her about news reports that he’d had an affair with a White House intern: “Bill woke me up early. He sat on the edge of the bed and said, ‘There’s something in today’s paper that you need to know about.’”

McGann compared that to comments Plame made before Congress about how she found out that columnist Robert Novak had revealed her identity as a CIA operative: “I found out very early in the morning when my husband came in and dropped the newspaper on the bed and said, ‘He [Novak] did it.’ And I quickly turned and read the article and I felt like I had been hit in the gut.”
