The Our Country Deserves Better Committee has instead unveiled a new television ad campaign that criticizes Obama’s push for massive big government spending and a series of corruption scandals among top members of his team as “not the change we were promised.”

The television ad campaign will begin its broadcast run next week – the week Obama is inaugurated as the next President of the United States.

“It’s ideological suicide for conservatives to sit back silent while Obama pushes for untold hundreds of billions in new spending and bailouts. If conservatives and Republicans can’t find within them the ideological conviction to oppose this fleecing of the taxpayers, then what is it that we stand for?” asked Sal Russo, Chief Strategist for the Our Country Deserves Better Committee.

The ad has been viewed thousands of times and awarded several YouTube Honors in the first 12 hours since it has been posted online.

Russo, who got his start in politics as an aide to Governor Ronald Reagan, rejected the calls made by some Republicans to hold off in speaking out against Obama’s policies.

“Some people have said we shouldn’t speak up now for our beliefs, but instead hold off for now. To these individuals I ask when do they propose we begin to stand up for our principles? Will waiting a month or year to fight for our beliefs somehow advance the cause of conservatism? Will it help America for us to sit back and let Obama push his agenda forward unopposed?

“It seems to me that being silent and acquiescent now further empowers Obama, and further entrenches this notion that big government liberalism is somehow acceptable. It’s the antithesis of our individual liberty and freedom, and it requires men and women of good conscience to step forward, take action and oppose it vigorously,” said Russo.

Apparently this all happened during his celebrated trip to Iraq - yes, the same trip where he refused to meet with American military personnel in the hospital in Germany because they wouldn't let news camera crews turn the visit into a circus and political stunt.

Fearful that the success in Iraq would harm his political aspirations, Obama sought to keep U.S. troops in Iraq so he can continue attacking the Bush Administration for not imposing a timetable for withdrawal. If these allegations prove to be true, it should be the end of the Obama campaign. The report says this was a demand Obama made to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.

Obama should have the decency to recognize that he lacks the moral character to serve as Commander-in-Chief, and he should withdraw from the ticket. I have never heard of any candidate deliberately trying to get Americans killed to prove their point. According to the New York Post story, not only did Obama seek to get the Iraqi to stop negotiating with Americans on the troop drawdown, he also tried to bully General David Petraeus to agree to a hard withdrawal date.

The hypocrisy of Barack Obama - to say, in the United States, that he wants a speedier troop withdrawal date - while telling the Iraqis to stop negotiating is appalling. Even supporters of a quicker U.S. withdrawal must be sickened by his conduct in Iraq. If there were ever a candidate who has demonstrated the lack of character and leadership to represent the United States in foreign affairs, it is Barack Obama.

MARINES ATTACKED IN BERKELEY, CA

City Calls Marines "Unwelcome Intruders"

SAN FRANCISCO - The City of Berkeley, California has passed two resolutions attacking the United States Marine Corps, calling the Marines, "uninvited and unwelcome intruders in the city."

The Berkeley City Council voted to condemn the Marines on Tuesday night (January 29th) as part of a campaign by anti-war activists to shut down a U.S. Marine Recruiting Center located in the city of Berkeley.

The votes by the Berkeley City Council were immediately condemned by Move America Forward, the nation's largest grassroots pro-troop organization.




"It is disgraceful that in the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement, anti-military activists would attempt to silence the same military men and women who serve this country and give their lives to protect the free speech rights of all Americans, including these ungrateful and despicable people on the Berkeley City Council," said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.

The actions by the Berkeley City Council followed continuous protests by Code Pink and other anti-military organizations that vandalized and defaced the U.S. Marine Recruiting Center in September 2007.

One of the two resolutions passed by the Berkeley City Council last night granted a parking spot in front of the Marine Recruiting Center to be used by anti-military activists to harass Marine recruiters. The anti-military activists would not need to apply for a sound permit for the next six months - allowing them free reign to disrupt the day-to-day operations by the Marines.

Move America Forward organized a counter-protest in support of the Marines last October that attracted over 400 pro-troop supporters who stood in solidarity of the Marine Recruiting Center.

"We have hundreds of thousands of military men and women serving honorably overseas to protect our freedoms. Imagine how they feel when they go to turn on the news and see that they are being stabbed in the back by shameful people here at home, it's disgraceful!" said Catherine Moy, Executive Director of Move America Forward.

When we heard that the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors would be taking up the issue of the war in Iraq as part of their regular business, with a proposed resolution calling for a timetable for phased-in defeat, we simply had to do something despite the late notice.

News that the board would be taking a look at the resolution first broke last week, causing a small firestorm of controversy here in sleepy old Sacramento, where Move America Forward bases it's headquarters.

As a recently arrived resident of this town I have grown to like Sacramento, in a very short time, so I was interested to come to a meeting of its County Board of Supervisors to see how local government works. It was unfortunate that my first visit would be to witness the County Board take up an issue that clearly is beyond it's operational jurisdiction.

This was the same opinion voiced by dozens of other people from the community, who stood with Move America Forward in opposition to the resolution at the board meeting.

While the Board moved to drop the resolution, a motion enacted by Supervisor Peters - bravo! - Which was the right thing to do, the Board also took the time to let the members of the community who came to speak about the issue, from both sides, give their opinions. [...] read the rest...

She's made news recently because she decided to shut down the Boy Scouts care package collection boxes. You see, the Boy Scouts were sending care packages for our troops to enjoy at the holidays. But Marsha Weinerman said the Boy Scouts actions are 'too pro-war' and ordered law enforcement to remove the care package collection boxes.

The Boy Scout's troop leader is outraged:

"We have never seen anything like this decision in Cambridge before," Patterson wrote. The city is changing for the worse if decisions like this are allowed to be made."

The nation’s largest pro-troop organization, Move America Forward is speaking out to condemn Senator Barbara Boxer for politicizing the southern California fires.

Earlier on Tuesday in comments on Capitol Hill, Boxer attacked the mission in Iraq, laying blame on America’s effort to destroy terrorism with the deployment of U.S. troops in Iraq for hindering fire-fighting efforts in California. “Shame on Barbara Boxer for trying to take a political shot at the missions and abilities of our troops during a time of crisis in San Diego,” said Howard Kaloogian, San Diego County resident and founder of Move America Forward.

Former State Assemblyman Howard Kaloogian was part of thousands of people evacuated from their homes in San Diego County on Monday. Kaloogian lives in San Elijo Hills. Move America Forward’s Vice Chairman, Lt. Colonel Buzz Patterson (USAF, Ret.) has prepared his family for evacuation in Simi Valley, CA, as the Malibu fire is threatening to come over the mountain into populated parts of Ventura County. The family of Move America Forward Grassroots coordinator, Joe Wierzbicki, was forced to evacuate from their homes in Fallbrook to the ocean after flames approached.

“Now is a time for people to come together to help one another during this awful natural disaster. Thousands of Californians have lost their homes, or may lose them in the next 24 hours, and the focus should be on how to help these people, not play petty and pathetic political games,” said Colonel Patterson, Move America Forward Vice Chairman.

Patterson also pointed out that if, “Senator Boxer was so concerned about insufficient military equipment, she should stop voting against military appropriations.”

Besides being shameless, Senator Boxer’s comments are also inaccurate. As Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense Paul McHale declared today:

"I can tell you unequivocally that the ongoing war-fighting activities ... have had no negative effect at all (on) our ability to provide sufficient forces to assist civilian authorities in fighting the wildfires.... There is no manpower shortage,” McHale has publicly stated.

Move America Forward Organizes Pro-Troop Demonstration to Counter Code Pink Protests & Harassment at Berkeley U.S. Marine Recruiting Office

(SAN FRANCISCO) -- In response to ongoing efforts by the liberal organization, Code Pink, to harass, intimidate and ultimately chase the U.S. military out of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, a patriotic, pro-troop counter demonstration will take place next Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at the U.S. Marine Recruiting Center in Berkeley, California (located at 64 Shattuck Sq. in Berkeley, CA).

The pro-troop rally is being organized by the northern California-based non-profit group, Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org), which has grown to become the nation’s largest pro-troop organization.

“We’re sick and tired of the constant attacks against our military personnel here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we’re going to take action to defend the honor and integrity of this nation’s military men and women” said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.

The anti-war and anti-military group, Code Pink: Women for Peace, has been conducting weekly vigil-protests in front of the U.S. Marine Corps recruiting station in Berkeley, CA.

Controversy over the protests came to a head last week when Code Pink protesters took it upon themselves to deface the building and attempt to interfere with Marine Corps recruiters and their ability to do their jobs. Code Pink’s objective is ‘chase’ the Marine Corps, and the military out of Berkeley completely.

In recent media reports, Code Pink advocates are quoted as saying they were “shocked and horrified” that the Marine Corps has a presence in Berkeley and inferring that the Marines prey on children.

Code Pink activists have been caught on video calling Military recruiters ‘traitors’ and harassing Marine Corps Captain Richard Lund while he was just trying to do his job.

Now, Move America Forward and other patriotic Americans from the Bay Area are organizing to defend the integrity of Captain Lund and say THANK YOU to all our brave soldiers who are fighting to protect our freedoms in Iraq and other theatres in the War on Terror.

“Those who have been harassing our men and women in uniform do not even realize that they are attacking that which gives them freedom, security and liberty,” said Melanie Morgan.

Of course, the left, not liking the fact that patriotic Americans, like Melanie and Move America Forward are stepping up to show our Military the support they deserve are trying their age old tactic of lying, smearing and misrepresenting this counterprotest as well as the last one.

Remember the last event Move America sponsored was a 3,000+ mile trip across the country with 27 rally stops along the way, where not one person on the pro-support the troops side, was arrested versus over 200 anti-war protesters being arrested.

He is now posting about how I 'incited violence' at the GOE/EaglesUp/VetsforFreedom rally in Washington, D.C. and how I am "calling for violence" at the counter-demonstration against CodePink at the Berkeley Marine Recruiting Center next Wednesday.

This crackpot with a keyboard is fueling the same folks (Media Matters) who attacked Rush Limbaugh over the 'phony soldiers' story two weeks ago.

Deborah Johns, a Blue Star Mom whose son William is standing by for his fourth deployment to Iraq, was defending herself in Washington, D.C.

It is telling that the left continues to back the idea that nobody should protect herself: not America and not a woman attacked by peace protesters with a punch.

Apparently, the Left only feels it is appropriate to strike first, as Al Qaida did on Sept. 11 and as this woman did to Deborah.

Per Melanie Morgan's request I am forwarding along the information below. It includes a recap of the 2-week "Fight for Victory Tour" that two very brave military mothers led (Blue Star Mom, Deborah Johns and Gold Star Mom, Debbie Lee).

As the Grassroots Coordinator for Move America Forward I traveled along with these 2 ladies for the entire length of the caravan and I was so proud and honored to be by their side as they spoke to this nation, and rallied the public to stand on the side of our troops, and not on the side of MoveOn.org, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. For two weeks Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee and Blue Star Mom Deborah Johns led a pro-troop caravan of vehicles that traveled more than 4,500 miles across this country in the "Fight for Victory Tour." They held 27 pro-troop rallies in cities across America, with their objective being to stop Senator Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi from undermining our troops in Iraq.

In a tale akin to David v. Goliath, these two military moms won - and Reid and Pelosi lost!!!

As the New York Times admitted in a news story published this past week:

"With other war initiatives seemingly headed for the same fate, Senate Democrats, who only two weeks ago proclaimed September to be the month for shifting course in Iraq, conceded that they had little chance of success."

Debbie Lee and Deborah Johns are both single moms who gave up two weeks of their lives, away from their families, to join with the pro-troop organization, Move America Forward, and rally the American people to stand behind our troops and their missions in the war on terror.

Debbie Lee's son, Marc Alan Lee, was the first Navy Seal killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Deborah John's son, Marine Sgt. William Johns, has proudly served 3 tours of duty in Iraq - and volunteered to go back for a 4th deployment.

In Las Cruces, New Mexico the pro-troop caravan received a police escort!

Thousands turned out across the country. You'll be surprised
but even in San Francisco the crowd was especially enthusiastic!

In Carson City, Nevada Congressman Duncan Hunter
joined Move America Forward Chairman, Melanie Morgan, in support
of the pro-troop effort led by Debbie Lee and Deborah Johns.

In the village of Niles, Illinois (suburb of Chicago) the caravan led
a 9/11 candlelight remembrance and pro-troop rally.

In Des Moines there was both a great crowd and
a Jr. ROTC Color Guard present at the State Capitol.

We worked hard to get our message heard through local
media. At this stop in Oklahoma City we had 4 TV stations, radio stations
and print media present to cover our rally and get the message out!

In Sacramento the pro-troop moms were greeted by this great crowd!

At each stop the caravan had supporters sign pro-troop banners that
were then presented to the wounded warriors recovering from injuries
at Walter Reed Medical Center at the caravan's conclusion.

Congressman Mike Pence welcomed us to our Indianapolis stop.

With the media in tow, the military moms confronted Senator Reid's D.C. office
and took them to task for Reid's statement that "this war is lost."

The Grand Finale: An event at the White House Featuring
President Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney
and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Now, for a recap of yesterday and a portent of that which is to come:

Did we have as many Pro Troops people as the enemy had anti-troops people? Honestly, I cannot for sure one way or another. There were herds of folks on all sides. Actually, it really doesn't matter. The enemy has lost their momentum and we have gained momentum and we must build on that. And, as my friend Sonlit Knight says, "Let's remember that that is all moonbats do. They protest."

Let us also remember this...they break the laws and get arrested and we do not. Go figure.

For far too long, we have sat on our collective buttocks waiting for what I do not know. It is time we band together and defeat the insurgency on the home front. That insurgency are the leaders of the Fruit Loop Moonbat Brigades. They incense to riot for their cause and expect us to back down. Well, we are NOT backing down and I, Snooper, will stand with anyone that stands against the enemies within whether they be in our CONgress or members of the likes of ANSWER.

The people on our side, don't always turn out in the numbers the opposition turns out. We have jobs and they do not. They get paid to "protest" and we do not. Our side is the Right side and don't ever forget it. However, having said that, we MUST take and make the time to show up and Ruck Up. Staying at home without a valid or viable causation is unacceptable. Staying at home thinking that your presence won't make a difference is well...cowardly. It does matter and it does make a difference.

The opposition is in a desperate situation. Never before have they anticipated or experienced such opposition and they do not know how to respond. Hopefully, they will not learn how respond and will continue to react. There is a difference.

The opposition is experiencing a political dilemma and we cannot afford to allow them to regroup and/or recuperate from the trouncings they have experienced.

For all their George Soros funding and their fancy placards and their rent-a-protesters bused in from around the country, they had a remarkable deer in the headlights look to them as they walked by. Some even appeared shocked and incredulous at the anger they have provoked.

Exactly so. I could see it in their eyes...fear. When confronted, they flee. When challenged, they get ugly.

As even our enemies here at home can see, it is "Rather" evident that our side is morally correct. They fear and hate us for that which we stand...a STRONG America and a VICTORIOUS America. When America wins, they lose. This is what they fear. Their agenda of socialistic/communistic ways and means is being directly confronted and challenged. Che is dead...get over it.

It is not a moral position to advocate surrender to barbarians. It is not our side that is unwilling to give peace a chance. That is the position of the other side. For all their shrieking about American imperalism and agression, the left doesn't want to face one very clear and incontravertable fact- we aren't the ones blowing up 5 year olds and crashing planes into buildings.

I stood with my brothers and sisters yesterday and it was but one step in a journey of many steps. We have been silent and inactive for too long and we have finally been heard. Join us in our quest, will you? We scared them yesterday. We out-shouted them all yesterday. All I could hear from my perch for photos were Eagles Soaring...I could not hear the enemy and many were crying. Good. Let them cry. They have lost.

Let them display their colors of dishonor of yellow and pink...perhaps one day we will paint the stripes on their backs as we send them off to another country to live where they can feel more at home. We don't want them here and there are more of us than there are of them.

Both surges are working...the one in Iraq and the one here at home but we have a very long way to go because we waited too long to speak out. We MUST re-educate the masses that the war is NOT about oil and that the WMDs were NOT the reason for war...it was one of 20+ causes that the media conveniently "ignores".

I saw many signs being held by the Fruit Loop Brigades. Several were attacking CONgress Critters of all makes and models. I even saw a few that said that "2008 Is Coming". I thought to myself, "Indeed it is and aren't you in for a rude awakening, moron."

Indeed. 2008 is soon approaching and will soon be upon us all. Can you see the Conservative Tsunami? I can. We have had enough of this and we will not take it anymore.
