This Blog Is Moving

Greetings. After this weekend, this Take Our Country Back Blog will be moving to the new web site. Too many conservatives are getting zapped by the intolerant dweebs of the Obama Goons and seeing that this editing platform is a free site, Blogger can do pretty much what it feels like doing. Hence, I now have a paid site and will be migrating the last 1400+ posts shortly.

So, one day, you just may click this page somewhere and it will show up as "private". It has been fun but the intolerant Czarbie Goon Squads are brain dead idiots. They can come play at the new site which I OWN outright.

Why Is The United Nations Cooking The Books?

I was doing my usual "can't sleep so why not read, surf and study" gig and I ran across this post at Gateway Pundit. It is about what the Israelis hit in Syria of which, Syria ADMITTED, finally, what the Israelis said they hit...a nuclear facility of some sort. I posted two articles on the subject here and here.

Now, the record of such event has "vanished" from the records at the United Nations. And we, the United States, are to trust the United Nations (I still don't know what they are united about) with the Law of the Sea Treaty? Turn OUR homeland shores over to them? The "vanishers" of documents? Please. Spare us of the ignorance and "udder" stupidities of that!

ALAS! I digress. Here is what one will find at Gateway Pundit.
[...]

There were news reports today that Syria had admitted that Israel had bombed a nuclear facility last month in northern Syria.
YNET News reported:

[...]
This is where it gets interesting. To get the whole drift, go read the post. It seems as though, the documents clearly showed the "confirmation" and then the next set the clarity is well, gone.
[...]

Here is the original document from that meeting at the United Nations this morning:

Here is the original text:

Moreover, Israel was the fourth largest exporter of weapons of mass destruction and a violator of other nations’ airspace, and it had taken action against nuclear facilities, including the 6 July attack in Syria. He vowed that whenever a right of reply was exercised, Syria would expose the underlying goals of the Zionist entity.
Now, take a look at the latest text of that same document:

Here is the latest rewrite of United Nations record General Assembly GA/DIS/3345

Moreover, the entity that was the fourth largest exporter of lethal weapons in the world, that which violated the airspace of sovereign States and carried out military aggression against them, as had happened on 6 September against Syria, such an entity, with all those characteristics and more, had no right to go on lying without shame.

So, what's up with that? And, who is hiding what from whom and WHY?

What Did the Israeli's Hit In Syria?

As an update to a post here, posted on 10/2/07, check out what Yourish has posted:

[...]

That silence speaks volumes.

It was nukes.

[...]

The silence from Syria is now quite loud, thank you very much.

The buzz on this subject can be found at memeorandum.

So, the question(s) is(are), where did the Syrians get "the stuff" and from whom. With the heavy "evidence" or, gut call, of Saddam shipping his "illegal" weapons in accordance with the negotiated cease fire from the Persian Gulf War in 1991, could this be "the stuff" which was hit? It seems to me that since Syria is allowing foreign fighters to use their soil as a safe-house as they sneak across the Syrian-Iraqi border to kill American Troops, what would keep Syria from harboring "the stuff" smuggled out of Iraq?

Other questions I have is why did not our intelligence services pick up on it or, did they know but would not "announce" due to the political climate? My gut call is that the political climate was too hot and we have cowards afraid to protect the country until it is nearly too late or just too damn late. Perhaps we could learn from the Israelis in this regard.

I am not alone.

The weenies at State pressured the Israelis not to act upon that which they saw and knew.

The Hashmonean:
I’ve been posting this past week about the difficult pressure Israel has been facing recently, care of an eager beaver US State Dept. seemingly sold on dangerous levels of appeasement to salvage its non-producing ‘diplomatic’ initiatives.

[...]

Hot Air:
Lots o’ tips coming in about this ABC News scoop, which was even more of a scoop two weeks ago when the Times of London first reported it. Remember? Israeli commandos daringly infiltrating the suspected Syrian nuke site and escaping with hard evidence to reassure jittery American intelligence officials? From ToL:

[...]

Ynet News:
[...]

Israel was ready to strike alleged Syrian nuclear facilities in July, but gave in to American pressure to postpone the attack, ABC News reported on Saturday.

According to the report, Israel presented the United States with satellite images of Syrian nuclear sites months before the September attack.

[...]

"Israel tends to be very thorough about its intelligence coverage, particularly when it takes a major military step, so they would not have acted without data from several sources," said ABC military consultant Tony Cordesman.

[...]

Prairie Pundit:
[...]

I think Rice has become too timid in the use of force. This is just another example of where she was wrong to be hesitant. Perhaps it is an out growth of problems we have faced in Iraq, but many of those problems have been caused by the failure to aggressively counter the bogus arguments of opponents who want Iraq to be a disaster whether it is or not.

[...]

The proof is in the pudding in regards to my original sentiment and I am satisfied that Capt Ed holds nearly the same view. It was politics and the desire to appease idiots that seem to think negotiating with" and "talking to" terrorists and terrorist promoters actually does any good.

Good on Israel for taking care of things in their own back yard.

Captain's Quarters:
[...]

Between July and September, weeks of high-level talks took place. The Israelis wanted to destroy the facility immediately, and had some support from the American intelligence community that had managed to miss this development. However, Condoleezza Rice and others did not. They wanted to "confront" the Syrians first -- as the Jerusalem Post puts it, to scold Assad publicly for operating a nuclear facility.

Yes, I'm sure that would have been effective. Publicly scolding them over the Hariri assassination only resulted in five more car-bomb assassinations of anti-Syrian politicians in Lebanon since then. Fingerwagging has done so much to curtail their material support for Hezbollah, too.

And there ya have it...diplomacy does one thing and one thing only, besides wasting untold billions of dollars of wasted funds on salaries of cowards; it delays the inevitable.

Silence In Syria and Panic In Iran

Come to think of the situation, I find it "Rather" curious why the Little Man from Iran really came to the United States strutting his Little Man Syndrome and then traveling to Venezuela, further strutting his Little Man Syndrome with another Little Man.

A few weeks back, Israel performed a deep penetration into Syria to take out an unspecified target or targets. The mission was a success but how successful is still unclear seeing that Israel knows how to deal with loud-mouthed Press Schnooks...State Secret Leakers are severely dealt with, unlike here in the US, much to our detriment and due to the plethora of cowards in DC to prosecute such cretins.

There is much speculation as to that which was attacked and/or destroyed. It could be it was the Nork "nuclear material" recently shipped to Syria to be used to make "dirty" nukes; it could be the stockpile of Zilzal missiles recently shipped to Syria from Iran to be used to attack Israel; it could be that someone found the WNDs that Saddam had which was reportedly shipped to Syria before the US took Saddam out. After all, Saddam said that he might go into exile if he could take his WMD data to Egypt.

Be that as it may, the real story is the successful penetration of Syria by Israeli war planes. Syria and Iran have spent untold amounts of money to the old USSR (soon to make a come-back) for the theoretical state of the art high-tech air defense systems...which didn't work.

Syria is silent. Iran is panicked. Why? They are defenseless. That is why.

Others are talking about this and have been for at least since the Israeli attacks into Syria:
Wizbang
Opinion Journal
Reuters
Free Republic

And this just in:

Israel lifted its official veil of silence over last month's strike in Syria on Tuesday as army radio said that the Jewish state carried out the attack deep inside its arch foe's territory.

The Israeli military censor lifted a blackout on publishing the information on the September 6 strike, in which Syria had said its air defences fired on Israeli warplanes that dropped ammunition deep inside its territory.

"The military censor has authorised for the first time the publication of the fact that Israeli combat planes attacked a military target deep inside Syrian territory on September 6," the radio said.

"It is the only element that the censor allowed to be published," it added

[...]

In an interview aired by the BBC on Monday, Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad identified the target of the strike as an "unused military building" and said that the warplanes had hit "nothing of consequence."

[...]

Yahoo News:

[...]

Foreign reports, quoting unidentified U.S. officials, have speculated that Israel attacked a weapons shipment destined for Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon, or attacked a nuclear facility built with North Korean technology.

North Korea, which provides missile technology to Syria, has denied any nuclear link. Syria also has denied receiving North Korean nuclear help.

[...]

And what most fail to remember:
[...]

Syria and Israel are formally at war. Peace talks between them collapsed in 2000 over the scope of an Israeli pullout from the Golan Heights, a plateau which the Jewish state captured from Syria in 1967.

[...]

Syria is shamed and silent. Iran is freaking out in panic. And the friends of our enemies here in the states are shrill.
