Cancel the Show Trials!

World Net Daily has initiated a petition campaign against civilian trials for terrorists. After stating the obvious logical reasons for opposing the New York show trials, they cite Article III, Section 1of the Constitution as the legal basis for Congressional control of lower court jurisdiction and resolve:

We, the undersigned, assert our rights as citizens of the United States in demanding the Congress of the United States use its authority to stop this show trial and any future abuses of American jurisprudence by making a simple declaration:

"Federal district courts shall have no jurisdiction over any case involving unlawful enemy combatants, as that term is defined in the United States Code (Title 10, Section 948a)."

Foreign terrorists, captured on foreign soil, who are not U.S. citizens, are not entitled to the rights, privileges & immunities of citizens. They do not have a right to get off Scott-free by trickery or technicality.

We do not owe them a soapbox from which to spew their anti-civilization venom. We do not need to subject the survivors of the Abomination to the daily grind of news coverage which will surely tear open their psychic wounds.

We must not subject the residents of New York City and the surrounding area to increased risk of terrorism, particularly that of hostage taking designed to win the release of the terrorists.
