This Blog Is Moving

Greetings. After this weekend, this Take Our Country Back Blog will be moving to the new web site. Too many conservatives are getting zapped by the intolerant dweebs of the Obama Goons and seeing that this editing platform is a free site, Blogger can do pretty much what it feels like doing. Hence, I now have a paid site and will be migrating the last 1400+ posts shortly.

So, one day, you just may click this page somewhere and it will show up as "private". It has been fun but the intolerant Czarbie Goon Squads are brain dead idiots. They can come play at the new site which I OWN outright.

The Quintessential Whiners

~Snooper~

These cretins crack me up. They get exposed in such a manner and form and they whine and try to fluff it off. It ain't working. We have known for years. All one has to do is compare "them" to the "List of 45" to be able to identify "them" for what they are...anti-Americanists, socialists and anti-Constitutionalists.

Who am I referring to? Why, it is the moonbats and libtards of Sadly, NO! and that idiot and chief whiner Matty Yglassy-ass.

Several links here, here, here, here, here.

Yes. No need to cry. We have known what you are for decades and now the entire world is catching on. Thanks.

Jihadi Whiners And Journalistic Dhimmitude

~Snooper~

Just in case one is wondering, dhimmitude is defined and described here.

In recent history, it seems as though the War In Iraq is going so poorly for the Jihadi murderous scum. Apparently, The Chief Spokesman for the culture of murder has stated the following, among other items:
Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant warned in a video statement released Sunday that Iraqi tribal leaders who side with U.S. troops against al Qaeda fighters would face reprisals when Americans leave Iraq.

"I warn those individuals from among the armed factions who have been involved in cooperation against the Mujahedeen that history is recording everything, and that they will lose both their religion and life," Ayman al-Zawahiri said.

"The Americans will soon be departing, God permitting, and won't keep defending them forever. And let them look at the fate of America's agents in Vietnam and the fate of the Shah of Iran. Intelligent is he who learns from other's mistakes," he added.

Al Qaeda's No. 2 called such Iraqi leaders "traitors" and "scum." [...]
This flake is just another Jihadi Troll. I viewed the video but I could not help but notice a darkened stain right in the middle of his forehead...perfect for a bullet. I guess his words of abasement are meant to convince the people of Iraq to turn back to beheadings, murder, rape, torture and other wonderful acts of inhumane treatment now that they have had a taste of Freedom. I have noticed that there is a serious lack of throngs of people going back to AQ.

You can view the Jihadi Trill video released yesterday here at ANO's VODPOD. Like most things in life, certain events come in threes. As Mitt Romney opined about religion a while ago and Huckabee opened mouth and inserted foot, so has this fool offered up more religious rhetoric.

From Power Line:
Al-Qaida's No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri said in a new video posted Monday that the United States is trying to hide its failures in Iraq and warned that the mujahedeen there are increasing in strength.

"We are seeing a triple failure for the Americans in Iraq," al-Zawahri said in the 90-minute videotape. "No matter how much the gigantic propaganda machine in America tries to deceive the people, the reality is stronger and worse than all the deceptions."

He said U.S. forces were "defeated and looking for a way out," and Iraqi forces were unable to keep security.

Al-Zawahri denounced Sunni Arab tribal forces that the U.S. has backed in the fight against insurgent groups, calling them "traitors" to whom the Americans "pour oceans of bribes."

"The reports from Iraq tell of the growth of the mujahedeen and the collapse of the Americans' circumstances," al-Zawahri said. [...]
Yeah. Right. I wonder how many jihadi sympathizers in the US like Code Wackoff are going to begin rejoicing. They will take their cue from Reid I am most positive. Yaaaawwwwwn. Haven't we heard this same crap for several years now? The poor slog is "Rather" upset that the violence in Iraq is at the lowest point since 2004. Poor Jihadi troll. Reality sucks at times.

Keep up with Jihadi events with the Mansfield Report. The Jawa Report noticed the same "target" on the troll's forehead that I did.

A Hat Tip goes out to Suitably Flip who sends out a Hat Tip to Tech Crunch for this news story here.
AL-QAEDA sympathisers have been asked to send in their questions for the terror network's second in command, which he will then answer in an online interview next month.

The bizarre stunt was announced in a new video posted on the internet in which al-Qaeda's number two, Ayman al-Zawahri, mocked today's British handover of security in southern Iraq to local forces as a sign that insurgents are gaining the upper hand.

The video, carried by Islamic websites, was issued as Britain handed over security to Iraqi forces in the last of four provinces it once patrolled, effectively marking the end of nearly five years of British control of southern Iraq.

The websites invited readers to send in questions during the next month for Zawahri to answer in an "open interview". How the interview would work was not immediately clear. [...]
So, send in your questions and we shall see if the #2 Jihadi Troll can answer a question or two without sounding like a Democrat. Naturally, just like a Democratic Party Leader would do, the Jihadi Troll has taken credit for Basra...something IT had nothing to do with. Sometimes I wonder if our Democrats are communicating with the Jihadis or if the Jihadis are communicating with our Democrats. One cannot tell at times, they sound so much alike. Is it possible that Ried is training Troll #2?

NATIONAL REVIEW: PETRAEUS MAN OF THE YEAR

"That the surge has worked is no longer up for debate. "

We couldn't have said it better.

U.S. Troops Discover, Destroy al-Qaida Tunnel Network

~Snooper~

BAGHDAD - A network of underground tunnels near Iskandariyah used by al-Qaida in Iraq (AQI) to store weapons, hide fighters and launch attacks against U.S. forces was discovered and subsequently destroyed by Coalition forces, Dec. 16. It was the first known find of a tunnel system in the Multi-National Division - Center area.

Soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division found the tunnels as they were searching an area northwest of Iskandariyah, along the Euphrates River. Immediately prior, they discovered a cache of improvised explosive device (IED) components and were investigating when the tunnels were unearthed.

The tunnels provided access to numerous AQI fighting positions. Inside the tunnels were several anti-aircraft rounds, leading troops to speculate the tunnels may have served as enemy firing positions for anti-aircraft guns, as well as hiding places for AQI fighters after they launched attacks.

Soldiers called in Coalition air teams to destroy the tunnels. After an initial engagement with one Hellfire missile and three rockets, heavier air support was called in and dropped two bombs on the target, completely collapsing the network.

U.S. and Iraqi Soldiers are in the area as part of Operation Marne Roundup, the latest Coalition offensive to target extremists in MND-C. The operation launched the morning of Dec. 15.

As soon as the area is secured, U.S. troops will begin construction of a new security outpost, Patrol Base Khidr.

Iraq - the best story of the year

~Snooper~

Going to MNF-Iraq and clicking a link takes you here.

Naturally, the moonbats will screech.

Screw 'em. They are, after all, insignificant.
[...] Yet none of this should detract from what has been achieved in Iraq so unexpectedly this year. First, the country will now have the time to establish itself. A year ago it seemed as if American forces would have been withdrawn in ignominious fashion either well before the end of the Bush Administration or, at best, days after the next president came to office. This will not now happen. The self-evident success of the surge has obliged the Democrats to start talking about almost anything else and the calls to cut and run have abated. If the US Army remains in Iraq in strength, continuing on its present path, then deals on a constitution and the division of oil revenues between provinces will be realised. [...] Read the rest
Catch it at memeorandum...even though they are a wee bit behind.

Vets for Freedom Making International Headlines

~Snooper~

Vets For Freedom wins an overwhelming Victory. Words cannot express the gratitude we veterans feel towards the unwavering dedication to my fellow veterans and myself. Success requires a contender that sees no value in defeat. Pete Hegseth is such a contender. Reid, on the other hand, is not.

I received the following in my email from Vets For Freedom...

Last week, in London's grand Westminster Hall, I had the distinct privilege and honor to represent Vets for Freedom during a debate hosted by Intelligence Squared, the most prominent debating forum in Europe. Along with my esteemed debating partner William Shawcross, we were able to achieve a dramatic and unexpected victory with the sold-out audience of over 2,200 by overwhelmingly swaying them to defend the motion, "The surge is working, let's win before we leave."

Of the 455 undecided voters who arrived in the hall, over half (234) later voted to support victory rather than defeat. By contrast, only 131 voted in favor of the motions "leave Iraq now" or "negotiated settlement." Overwhelmingly, previously undecided voters left the hall convinced that we must win in Iraq. I was expecting a hostile audience, but these results prove that, with the credibility that we as veterans bring to the debate, it is not too late to shape the public's perception of the war in Iraq.

The debate will be shown in its entirety on BBC World during the weekend of January 5th, and Vets for Freedom will send out a notice when it appears. In the meantime, visit this website for a podcast of the debate.

In other news, I am proud to announce that Vets for Freedom recently released an ad titled "Senator Mitch McConnell" to thank and recognize the steadfast support Leader McConnell (R-KY) has given to the brave men and women who have and are currently wearing our nation's uniform. The ad will be running in the Louisville and Lexington markets in Kentucky through December 18th. To view the ads, please visit our website.

In addition to the op-ed from last weekend's Washington Post op-ed co-authored by Major General John Batiste, USA (Ret.), and myself, Vets for Freedom made headlines in the Washington Times on December 11th. Titled "American Troops are Winning," the piece argues that Congress needs to fund the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan before they go home for Christmas.

Finally, tomorrow Vets for Freedom will be launching our new website. This has been a work in progress for the better part of two months, and I'm confident you'll enjoy the new site.

THIS WEEK'S ACTION ITEM - GET AT LEAST 5 FRIENDS, SUPPORTERS AND/OR VETERANS TO SIGN UP ON OUR SITE.

The men and women who wear our nation's uniform represent the best America has to offer. As we all sit down with our friends and loved ones this holiday season, it is my hope that all Americans give thanks to the sacrifice bore by soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines. May we pray for their safe return, and for continued victory in the battlefields of the Global War on Terror. A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy, Healthy & Safe New Year to each of you.

Warm Regards,

Pete Hegseth

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Victory!

~Snooper~

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Victory!
Sung to the tune of It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
Bing Crosby Crooning

It's beginning to look a lot like Vict'ry
Ev'rywhere we go;
Take a look in the media, absence is all one needs
Of the news we all know is true ain't there.

It's beginning to look a lot like Vict'ry;
Trolls are imploding,
But the prettiest sight to see is Murtha the Toad running
Into a Marine Brick Wall.

Pelosi and Reid afire and a congressional quagmire
Is the result of dhimmitude;

Dolts and cadish fools that will eat there very own
Is the result of ignorance;

And America bides its time to vote them out in 08.

It's beginning to look a lot like Vict'ry;
Ev'rywhere we go;
There's moonbats in every tree screaming it just ain't fair,
Being on the losing side again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Vict'ry;
Soon the bats will flee,
And the thing that will make them scream is the fact that we will win
And the losers will whine.

The Problem With FISA

~Snooper~

The problem here is not that there is a spy program being utilized to trap and snare enemies of the United States, ie terrorists. The problem is that GWB is using it very effectively and the Jihadi sympathizers loyal to CAIR in the name of the lethal concept of multiculturalism are upset. The root cause of this disingenuous behavior of the anti-Americanist groups that are whining the loudest is BDS.

Where was the outrage during the Clintonian years when Echelon was being used?

[...] People in Europe and the United States are beginning to ask why. Has the NSA turned from eavesdropping on the communists to eavesdropping on businesses and private citizens in Europe and the United States? The concerns have arisen because of the existence of a sophisticated network linking the NSA and the spy agencies of several other nations. The NSA will not confirm the existence of the project, code-named Echelon. [...]
Just curious.

While Feingold is feigning to be disappointed for vote panderings, other anti-Americanist groups wouldn't understand the threats we face as a nation if the sword of MoHumDrum was shoved...well...at their throats. Digby wants to know Can I Get A Big Old Yeeeeaaarrrgh!?!! and The Newsblobbers get their panties all wadded up as usual.

I find it curious that the Libtards seem to think that it is quite alright to "grandfather" a law to catch folks from doing an illegal act that currently is not illegal. I would like a Libtard to explain that one if they can. I haven't figured out why it is that a grandfather clause is required for protection for something that was declared legal. If all this nonsense is truly required, why not take it all the way back to the 1960s?

Roll back the calendars to an ancient time of October in the year 2007...The Weekly Standard:
[...] Perhaps most amusing of all, when forced to explain why they blocked a floor debate, Democrats said it was important to move swiftly to reauthorize the law. Never mind that it was they who insisted the law expire quickly; if this was really their view then they would schedule a vote to extend the measure as is -- since the votes were clearly there for such a measure.

Now, after this abuse of process and national security, what does the left say when Republicans use the one procedural opportunity afforded them to force Democrats to cast a difficult vote?

'They're not playing fair.'

Read the breathless explanations on the left -- from DailyKos, ThinkProgress, TalkingPointsMemo. They all say the same thing: Cantor's motion-to-recommit was unfair because it called for a vote on something already in the bill, and some Democrats would have looked bad if they voted against it. It was 'trickery.' If that's the best argument they can come up with, Soros's money is being wasted.

Does any of this ring a bell? Or, maybe a Gong? How about this one from Power Line?

House Democrats have been forced to pull their proposed legislation to change the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) because they couldn't round up enough support among Dems who need the votes of non-liberals to be re-elected. You probably recall that the Democratic leadership was embarrassed two months ago when these same non-leftist Dems joined with Republicans to pass a temporary FISA fix so that our intelligence agencies could monitor the overseas communications of terrorists without obtaining a warrant. Still unwilling to provide the administration with the FISA fix it needs to ensure the gathering of information vital to the national security, the Democratic leadership has been slapped down again by members of its own caucus. [...]
Well, just like WAY BACK IN OCTOBER, the little sniveling imp loser Reid has pulled the same antic...yanked his ball from the game and went sulking back home. Spoiled brats. They cannot get their way so they run away.

After not getting the support they wanted, they cry FOUL and walk off. What kind of leadership is that?

Let's ZOOM back in time t August of 2007:

The dispute illustrates how lawmakers, in a frenetic, end-of-session scramble, passed legislation they may not have fully understood and may have given the administration more surveillance powers than it sought.

It also offers a case study in how changing a few words in a complex piece of legislation has the potential to fundamentally alter the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, a landmark national security law. The new legislation is set to expire in less than six months; two weeks after it was signed into law, there is still heated debate over how much power Congress gave to the president. [...]

[...] Several legal experts said that by redefining the meaning of "electronic surveillance," the new law narrows the types of communications covered in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, known as FISA, by indirectly giving the government the power to use intelligence collection methods far beyond wiretapping that previously required court approval if conducted inside the United States. These new powers include the collection of business records, physical searches and so-called "trap and trace" operations, analyzing specific calling patterns. [...]

THEY. CANNOT. LEAD.

Just so all is clear...from Slate back in August:

The Washington Post leads, and the Wall Street Journal tops its worldwide newsbox, with the Senate's last-minute approval of a Republican plan to overhaul terrorist surveillance laws, following a bitter row between the White House and Democratic lawmakers. The LA Times leads, and the New York Times off-leads, on heightening tensions on the Hill, as Democrats wrestle with stalled legislation and struggle to contain the fallout from allegations of vote-stealing. The NYT leads on the stock market's continuing woes amid fears that ailing mortgage and debt markets could take a toll on the wider economy.

The new spy laws approved yesterday by the Senate would expand the government's authority to eavesdrop without a court order on overseas phone calls and emails. Democrats initially said the legislation was too sweeping, and accused the White House of trying to wreck an existing deal; President Bush warned that he might seek to keep Congress in session until they passed the legislation. Senators eventually caved in, earning swift condemnation from privacy campaigners who predicted the laws would be used to eavesdrop on US citizens. Senate majority leader Harry Reid accused Republicans of rubber-stamping a flawed proposal, but noted that the measure would need to be re-approved in six months' time. The LAT and the NYT both note that the House is expected to pass an identical bill later today.

Some things just never change, do they? First, they approve the program and then they rail against it.

I see a trend here.

Ride the wave here at memeorandum and here.

Dodd seems to think that he has protected the Constitution. He obviously doesn't know anything about it. The Caliphate News Network chimes in here.

Pelosi: One of America's Finest Zeros

~Snooper~

Nancy Pelosi. The Speaker of the House of the United States house of Representatives. Third in line to POTUS. How did she get there? She lied her way into the position. That's how.
Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told cheering supporters Saturday that Democrats would move the nation in "a new direction ... for all Americans, not just the chosen few," and pledged an ambitious agenda on subjects ranging from House ethics to foreign policy.

Speaking in San Francisco the day after adjournment of the Republican-controlled 2005-06 Congress, Pelosi declared -- as she had throughout her party's successful November election campaign -- that "my highest priority, immediately, is to stop the war in Iraq." [...]
Well? She didn't. She can't. She won't. She lied to get into office.

Media Matters for America, Hillary Clinton's media army, defends Nancy Pelosi when she is under attack from people like Michael Savage. They are outraged that someone would dare disparage Nancy Pelosi but they have no outrage whatsoever when Olbermann has a China Syndrome on his TV news show, in front of his five listeners, disparaging the President of the United States. I smell a Double Standard there, don't you?

One thing that Nancy is really GREAT at is wasting Americans' tax dollars.
Wasting time and our money.

As we explained earlier, the Department of Treasury sent them a letter on October 23, 2007, telling them that anything later than mid November would cost ordinary citizens to have their tax returns delayed and she ignored that to play her political games.

Took a month and a half to do their jobs and Congress is still behind now again because Pelosi is incapable of doing her job.

Maybe Pelosi should go back to baking cookies for her grandkids because she has been an utter failure as speaker of the house.
That's what Mr Savage said as well. The woman is a psycho.

I wonder if Nancy's reactions to the Gathering of Eagles is the same as her reactions to Code Pink.

Among the many gaffes of the one called Pelosi, a more recent turn of events has caused her emotional underpinnings to be exorcised to the fore and she said:
They like this war, they want this war to continue. That was a revelation to me. I had thought they would listen to their constituents and change their position.
Come again, Nancy dear? She latere tried to backwash the comment but it was too late. She is incapable of leading and she is incapable of controlling her emotions.

Just last week the Leftinistra were at each other's throats because their collective asses couldn't get on the same page on any subject or isuue. They have been so busy promoting their BDS and introducing bill after bill KNOWING they didn't have a rat's chance in hell of passing all for the political game of, "MINE! MINE!", that nothing has been achieved and America suffers because of it.

This 110th CONgress is an international laughing stock. The problem that Nancy and her crew of idiots is this. The political leaders on the Right have finally started listening to their constituents and the Leftinistra have been listening to their minority and insignificant constituents. There are more of us than there are of them and Pelosi's Clan are powerless to negate that fact.

Captain's Quarters has said that she has overreached. Read more about that at memeorandum. Poligazette says she is under fire...I wish. Hillbilly White Trash has some choice words for the Pelosi unit. Q and O states that Pelosi gets more and more desperate each day. Power Line says she doesn't get it.

For an historical account of what Snooper has commented upon Pelosi's Double Standards and her inability to lead, plan on spending a considerable amount of time here. My very first comment on my own first operational blog is here, dated in 2/07 at Townhall.

I knew then that Pelosi was not up for the job she lied herself into. I can hardly wait until she turns in her grovel, I mean gavel, to the next Republican.

The Bathtub Sanity Test

~Snooper~

During a visit to a mental asylum, a Harry Reid asked the Director, "How do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized?"

"Well," said the Director, "We fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said Dingy Harry, "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

The United States: The Beacon of Hope

~Snooper~

Today has been a very long day for me. I must have read at least a thousand articles or more today. I am tired. I am angry. I decided that being awake at 0430 on a Sunday morning, I needed to shut this damn computer off, having been up since 0900 Saturday. IN that process of shutting down for a spell, I decided to scan the email and see if I missed anything. Well, I didn't exactly miss this email...I didn't want to read it because it was from Madeleine Albright. She was begging for money so the Leftinistra majority in the Senate would rise from 51. I would imagine that the goal would be at least 60.

From the verbiage in the body of the message, I have determined that beyond a shadow of a doubt, All-not-so-bright is a member of the Blame America First conundrum.
The United States has long been seen as a beacon of hope for people across the globe. I experienced this first hand when I arrived in our country with my family in 1948 after the Communist takeover of my native Czechoslovakia. [...]
Gee. I wonder why they fled that scene.
[...] Today, the light from America's beacon has dimmed as a result of the Bush Administration's damaging policies. [...]
Really? Then why are there MILLIONS of people wanting to get over here, you moonbat? Also, just exactly what are those damaging policies? I would like for a moonbat to just ONCE substantiate their stupidity. And, NOT with opinions. Back up their whiny-ass claims with some facts.

[...] But I believe we can restore America's reputation, rekindle our alliances, and mobilize our friends on every continent. That work begins with a change in White House leadership and a Congress that will work with our new president to undo the disastrous decisions of the past seven years. [...]
This twit doesn't keep up with the news, does IT? France...pro-America. Denmark...pro-America. Germany...pro-America. She mentions those alleged but unidentified disastrous (thought it was damaging policies) decisions again and doesn't have the guts to back it up. I am thinking that she is whining that GWB outwits, out-politics and out maneuvers these collective twits all the time and they hate it.

[...] Democrats have a once in a generation chance in 2008 to build a healthy and durable Senate majority that can produce real change. Given Senate rules, the one-seat margin we have now just isn't enough. [...]
America doesn't want your kind of change you idiot! Where has she been?

[...] The DSCC is focused on expanding our majority - and it is counting on you to get behind this history-making effort. By midnight Saturday, the DSCC needs $73,206 to reach the fundraising goal it has set for each week in December. We must close out 2007 strong. [...]
You are strong enough. I can smell you from Texas. Here is history in the making you lying-ass, sniveling idiot. You will either maintain what you have or you will lose a few. Count on it.

[...] Our next president must be able to change the perceptions of the many people across the globe who do not - at this point - see America the same way we do. We must work hard to regain our credibility and earn the world's trust. With the right leadership, we can fight effectively for international understanding and peace, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, curb climate change, halt the spread of nuclear weapons, and take dead aim at the axis of evil: poverty, ignorance and disease. [...]
This is ripe. What a moron. She is correct in one regard but not for what she thinks. Her side - the Leftinistra - see a United Socialist States of the North American Continent and the rest of the world does not. Has she checked Bolivia lately? Four States down there have declared themselves ungoverned by the Marxist dweeb of a President down there and there sill be Civil War soon. We had one of those and we do NOT need another one, you moron.

Fight for "international understanding and peace"? For and to whom? The frickin' Jihadim? Who is it we are fighting right now, Madeleine Moron? Oh. Wait. She wants to talk to the murderous MonkeyHummud Jihadists. IDIOT. "Reduce our dependency on foreign oil"? It has been the Leftinistra Party and the EcoNazis that have stopped that from happening since 1973 you bonehead! We haven't built a new refinery or increased efficiency of any because we might harm some amoeba someplace. We have oil under our own soil and territories that YOU won't allow anyone to get. JERK.

"Curb climate change"? Oh. We are as powerful as God now? We can adjust the natural cycles of the Earth now? How presumptuous of you. MORON. "Halt the spread of nuclear weapons"? What are we doing about that RIGHT NOW, you ignorant ass? Do you not check the news wires? Do you not consult the New Media? Are you an Ostrich?

Take dead aim at the real axis of evil: poverty, ignorance and disease"? The ignorance part is easy. STFD anzd STFU. Listen and learn from level-headed folks and not emotional and untrustworthy idiots like The Goracle. Poverty? Stop with the entitlement crap and let people rise above themselves with what God gave them. Don't allow ANYONE to be dependent on the government. Disease? One of the Trilogy of Evil? Really? Explain your self, fool.
[...] But those worthy goals will be nearly impossible to achieve unless a Democratic president is working with a robust Senate Democratic majority. A Democratic leader at the White House will need Democratic votes on Capitol Hill. [...]
This woman is a fool. She just said that "they" can solve the world's problems. And she thinks the GOP is arrogant? MORON. Here is a news flash; you will NOT have a Leftinistra in the White House. You will NOT have a majority in CONgress. Count on it.

[...] We've all seen over the past year how determined Republicans are to block the reforms you voted for in 2006. In 2008, we can wrest from their grip the power of obstruction - if we get behind the DSCC right now and help in their efforts to expand the Democratic majority. [...]
And that is a lie. Then again, what would anyone expect? If the vaunted "democratic" majority was such a "mandated majority", no one would be able to stop and/or block your socialist BS policies. Ever think of that you bloated dweeb? Go bloviate someplace else. You bore me. Oh. Wait. Stop blowing smoke up my ass. We all know that the ReidCo and PelosiCo LIED to win and it is coming around to bite them on their asses. Get over it.

[...] Our next president will face an enormous task: to restore the reputation and leadership of our country. [...]
Yes, we know, and Fred Thompson will work really hard to make sure that your kind cannot be another international embarrassment to his Administration.

[...] When that president pledges to recreate an America of liberty, justice, peace and respect for human rights, he or she will need to have the confidence that the United States Congress will rise in support instead of standing in the way. [...]
I wonder if she knows that she just rewrote the Constitution. Did anyone catch that besides me?

[...] With a strong Democratic majority in the Senate, we will be signaling to the rest of the world that the United States has entered a new era - at home and abroad.
Right. The rest of the world is just waiting for socialism to reign true in America so the Beacon Light will go out permanently. MORON.

I never have liked this idiot.

Local Tribal Leaders Start Reconciliation
BAGHDAD - After four years of brutal fighting between insurgents, the Iraqi army and coalition forces, most of west Mansour's local population, is tired of the ravages of war that has prevented any sort of normalcy in this area since Saddam̢۪s regime reigned.

When Task Force 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, from Fort Stewart, Ga., attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), arrived in Mansour in mid-June, the battalion was conducting full spectrum combat operations with a daily average of up to fifteen significant enemy events per day.

Black Knights Honor Fallen Comrades
BAGHDAD - On Dec. 7, 2006, Staff Sgt. Kristopher Ciraso, with 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, lost his life when he was struck by an improvised explosive device while trying to repair a barrier in the western Ameriyah neighborhood of the Iraqi capital. He was the first "Black Knights" Soldier to lose his life during the battalion̢۪s 15-month deployment.

Five months later, on May 14, 2007, six Soldiers and an interpreter who were riding in an M3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle were struck by a deep-buried IED in Ameriyah. All seven - Staff Sgt. Christopher Moore, Sgt. Jean Paul Medlin, Sgt. David Behrle, Pfc. Travis Haslip, Pfc. Alexander Verela, Pfc. Joseph Gilmore, and the interpreter - died in the blast.

In order to remember the fallen Soldiers of the cavalry unit, currently attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), the Black Knights held a ceremony in Ameriyah, Dec. 7, one year to the day they lost their first Soldier, and at the very site where those seven men lost their lives in May.

The Black Knights honored 18 fallen warriors during the ceremony. Chap. (Capt.) Steven Rindahl, the Black Knights' chaplain, asked those in attendance to join him in prayer to remember their warriors "lost in the fight."

Rakkasans Continue Progress With Marne Courageous
CAMP STRIKER, Iraq - The Rakkasans are making significant progress in the follow-on phases of Operation Marne Courageous which kicked off in mid-November.

Now well into the mission, multiple weapons and explosives caches have been recovered, insurgent activity has been thwarted and the operation is progressing smoothly. The construction of Patrol Base Kemple is ahead of schedule and all force-protection measures have been emplaced.

"The Rakkasans' mission to establish a footprint just west of the Euphrates proved to be a success and the quintessential model of counter-insurgency operations as defined in Field Manual 3-24," said Col. Dominic J. Caraccilo, commander of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

"The stars definitely lined up for us on this mission," said Maj. David Jones, operations officer for the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd BCT, 101st Abn. Div. (AASLT). "We conducted the largest air assault since Operation Swarmer without incident and delivered a decisive blow to al-Qaida.

"If there is any enemy that still remains in Owesat, they no longer have free reign and are incapable of coordinating significant attacks," Jones said.
