This Blog Is Moving

Greetings. After this weekend, this Take Our Country Back Blog will be moving to the new web site. Too many conservatives are getting zapped by the intolerant dweebs of the Obama Goons and seeing that this editing platform is a free site, Blogger can do pretty much what it feels like doing. Hence, I now have a paid site and will be migrating the last 1400+ posts shortly.

So, one day, you just may click this page somewhere and it will show up as "private". It has been fun but the intolerant Czarbie Goon Squads are brain dead idiots. They can come play at the new site which I OWN outright.

Fix Legal Immigration First

Fix Legal Immigration First (Sen. Ben Nelson)

June 28th, 2007

I felt that the problem of illegal immigration exists side by side with the problem of legal immigration. You have to solve the problem with legal immigration, which will give you the visas and give you temporary workers, and solve the problem of securing the border and enforcing border security before you can deal with the 11-12 million people who are here illegally.

So I think it’s a two-step process. You can combine them, but you can’t solve the problem of illegal immigration first, and that’s what this bill seems to do.

It was a surprisingly strong defeat for this bill’s advocates, and I think it was really a crushing defeat. It exceeded my expectations, although I thought it might shift — I felt a shift in the air — but I was surprised by the strength of that surge against the bill.

‘Modest increase’ in calls crashes Senate phones - By Kelly McCormack

Many Senate office phones were down Thursday morning due to a “modest increase in call volume,” according to an e-mail from the Senate assistant sergeant at arms and the chief information officer.

Opponents of the bipartisan immigration reform bill that stalled in the Senate after a 46-53 cloture vote this morning said foes of the bill had flooded Senate offices with phone calls.

46-53, immigration bill goes down in defeat - By Klaus Marre

The comprehensive immigration reform bill that has dodged attacks from the left and right for weeks, survived “poison pill” amendments, and was once pulled from the Senate schedule failed its most important test Thursday. Passage of the legislation now appears unlikely.

The bipartisan coalition that had shepherded the measure through so many obstacles failed to get the 60 votes necessary to end debate. The final vote was 46-53.

  1. The New American Aristocracy (CONgress) has saved themselves a lot of grief. They should have repealed the 2nd Amendment first.

  2. We still have lots to do, that fence needs to be built and all of it, our laws need to be enforced, and security along our border needs to be a top priority.
