They Have Names

How often do we hear this phrase in the news?
“Two soldiers were killed today…”
“Also killed was a U.S. soldier.”
The media, so quick to tell us about another death, misses the point. These soldiers and Marines have families and life stories and likes and dislikes and dreams.
They have names.
CJ Grisham, a friend of mine, fellow military blogger and member of GOE, started Theyhavenames.com as a way to highlight the stories of these incredible men and women who the media loves to forget. He asked me to help write some of the stories, and my first one was published last night.
