Let's Secure The Borders By Bringing In More Refugees

I don't get it. If only GWB would get off of this Compassionate Conservative gig, I could be 100% with him and behind him.

In another IBD piece, we read this:

U.S. National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell dropped the bombshell at the tail end of an unusually candid interview with the El Paso Times. Here's a transcript:

Times: Are terrorists coming across the Southwest border?

McConnell: There were a significant number of Iraqis who came across last year. Smuggled across illegally.

Times: Can you give any more detail?

McConnell: It's significant numbers. I don't remember what it is. The point is it went from a number to triple in a single year, because they figured it out.

He explained that they obtained forged passports in Lebanon and other Mideast countries, which got them into South America, where they hooked up with human smugglers.

So, what's up?

Border Security: President Bush's intelligence chief has just revealed that Iraqi terrorists are sneaking across the border. So why is the White House backing legislation to resettle thousands of Iraqi "refugees" here?
