Pelosi Reaping That What She Has Sown
At the Vets For Freedom Forum earlier today, there was a post referring to a Washington Post piece where Nancy Doll was "Rather" irritated by the anti-Americanists that have taken up residence on her sidewalks. Apparently, she has had enough of these moronic moonbats as well and grows weary of their antics, hiding behind Free Speech, coloring their anti-Americanist activities a different color.
Nancy was TRYING to have lunch.
[...]"Look," she said, the chicken breast on her plate untouched. "I had, for five months, people sitting outside my home, going into my garden in San Francisco, angering neighbors, hanging their clothes from trees, building all kinds of things — Buddhas? I don’t know what they were — couches, sofas, chairs, permanent living facilities on my front sidewalk."
[...]Unsmilingly, she continued: "If they were poor and they were sleeping on my sidewalk, they would be arrested for loitering, but because they have ‘Impeach Bush’ across their chest, it’s the First Amendment."
[...]Though opposed to the war herself, Pelosi has for months been a target of an antiwar movement that believes she hasn’t done enough. Cindy Sheehan has announced a symbolic challenge to Pelosi in California’s 8th Congressional District. And the speaker is seething.
"We have to make responsible decisions in the Congress that are not driven by the dissatisfaction of anybody who wants the war to end tomorrow," Pelosi told the gathering at the Sofitel, arranged by the Christian Science Monitor. Though crediting activists for their "passion," Pelosi called it "a waste of time" for them to target Democrats. "They are advocates," she said. "We are leaders."
[...]
And there we have it...out of the mouth of one that SO chanted the SAME crap as these anti-Americanists all in the name of political power. This is the epitome of the MAJOR difference between a conservative, as I am, and a liberal which, I am not.
I had "saved" this post and didn't publish it because I was looking for what others have said when I ran across a post that ends with a few statements that sums the difference up quite nicely. I have added some high-lights to press home the point.
What's your excuse? That is a very good question.

It seems people are realizing promises are different than action. The Democratic party ramped up their anti-war efforts to win the majority and they can’t follow up. This is nothing new, I’ve said all along that they will say whatever they have to to win power but even they know what’s good for this country. They’re so fiercely anti-war but not even the top candidates can guarantee a pullout from Iraq by 2012. It becomes rather obvious what the parties are all about. They hate us because we act on what we believe, everyone hates them because they lie and never follow through. At least I’m hated for standing by my principles, what’s your excuse?
