Back in Washington, National Security Advisor Sandy Berger, CIA chief George Tenet, White House Counter-Terrorism Advisor Richard Clarke and others debate what action to take.

Nowrasteh got his start in 1986 writing for popular TV series, The Equalizer. He went on to work on Falconcrest, and wrote the pilot for the hit USA show La Femme Nikita.
In recent years, Nowrasteh has focused on docudrama and history. In 2001, he wrote and directed the highly acclaimed Paramount/Showtime presentation, The Day Reagan Was Shot, starring Richard Dreyfuss as Alexandar Haig and executive produced by Oliver Stone. He followed that up in 2002 with 10,000 Black Men Named George, the true story of activist A. Philip Randolph who led the famous Pullman strike of the 1930s. Cyrus won the prestigious PEN Literary Award for Best Teleplay for BOTH shows, becoming the only writer in the history of the Pen awards to win two years in a row in the same category.
